Did you know that this is a thing? I did not but it has been around for a very long time. What an amazing thing to do on Christmas Eve with the little ones. I am going to have to store this somewhere and remember it for when our granddaughter is old enough.

When kids were younger we would track him on Christmas Eve with my 2, older sister's sons and then my younger sister. (Miranda came along when I was 17 3/4 so she grew up with 3 nephews and a niece) They always loved it.

Oh yes! There is usually a YouTube video posted of the volunteers working. The president and First Lady pretty much always answer a few calls. NORAD does a great job.
There is also an official pop up shop on line that sells Santa tracker shirts. We got new shirts last year! Always terrific graphics.

@Myron's Mom, thank you for that information. I may need to look into it a bit more. I think it is such a magical thing to do if you have little ones....or a big one that just loves Christmas magic.
I am going to look for the app and install it on my phone so I don't forget.

Teigan called Santa's number one year and she was so excited but it gave the weather forecast and nothing with Santa. She said gma you do not have connections with Santa. She has never forgotten that when I would say Santa....

Don't know if I wrote it down wrong or they dialed wrong or what.

Last year at Wal-Mart I saw a phone where you call and tell them you wishes. You could buy more time for it too. No little ones for such things now. So sad!!!!!!!!!!!

@Lana.
Things are certainly different from when even my kids were younger. I would write a letter to Santa on the kids behalf and I would have to disguise my writing when "Santa" sent a reply. When my brother was very young I was married and living away from him. I would call on Christmas Eve, pretend I was one of Santa's elves and tell him that it was time to go to bed. Mum and Dad said he was very excited by the call. I did this for 2 or 3 years until he figured out that it was me.

Last year I sent an electronic letter to Santa and was very thrilled to get a reply, I posted it on MHH. So many different ways to share the magic of Christmas now but no matter how we do it the important thing is we keep the magic alive for as long as we can.

My own bit of Christmas magic was that, in all the years I lived at home - until I married at 28 -, did I ever see my mom fill my stocking! If she didn't do it, it must have been Santa! Still have my original stocking!

DD sent me this last year, it made me cry. DD and DS even as adults would always go to bed before Santa came. They never once caught him. The magic is real and we must continue to keep it real.

Just got to get through the cold, cold days of Winter here in Australia. Then the fun begins.

Minta, I know that we are still many months away but I do get excited when I see a glimpse of Christmas. What a terrific find, I am sure that the ornaments are beautiful
