This week we move on to the family room, cleaning everything! Washing curtains, cleaning windows, mirrors, any other glass surfaces(doors, photos, artwork glass). Dusting and polishing any wood surfaces, don’t forget the trim above windows, doors and baseboards. Spot cleaning and vacuuming under/flipping sofa and chair cushions. Dust lamp shades and electronics. Move furniture if possible to vacuum and dust behind them. Clean cold air return vents. Clean out fire place or wood stove, have chimney cleaned and inspected. Wipe down doorknobs.
Sort through dvd’s, cd’s, books, games and any power cords etc. Eliminate any that are no longer used, broken or out grown. Clean up/ re-pot house plants.
Clean hall/ entryway closet to make room for guests coats. Add extra hangers if needed.
