Every time I look up at the Bathroom light fixture I say, "I really need to dust that!!!" Then I leave the room ... and forget about it. LOL

I'm posting my to-do list, since it's working to hold me accountable and leaves me with a list of what got passed over, so I can go back and finish up when time allows (if not before the holidays, then early in 2023).

My master bath is larger than both walk-in closets combined, so there's lots to do. Here goes ...
  • Clean shower walls and door DONE
  • Change shower head DONE (I feel so accomplished, doing it myself!)
  • Clean all light fixtures
    • shower can DONE
    • tub can DONE
    • fan/light over toilet DONE
    • lights over mirror DONE
  • Clean mirror DONE
  • Clean counter top and sink DONE
  • Organize drawers
    • hair care products DONE
    • make-up drawer DONE
    • daily use drawer DONE
    • immediate meds drawer DONE
  • Organize cabinets
    • under sink
    • cleaning supplies
  • Foam clean drains [need to research proper drain cleaner, since these sinks have a combination of plastic and copper pipes]
    • sink
    • tub
    • shower
  • Wash rugs DONE
  • Baseboards DONE
  • Clean toilet, including outside tank and base DONE
  • Wash floor DONE
  • Wash the bathroom door and sanitize handles. DONE
  • Hang picture
  • Go through medical supplies and make list of what needs to be replaced DONE
I also need to make my final carpet selection and arrange for measurements to be done, so I can get an actual quote. I will definitely re-do the guest bedroom carpet before the holidays. Stairs and Master carpet will depend on price.

Yep, that's been me, all summer. I always put that on my HGP to-do list, or it doesn't get done. Same with that one (of 6) light bulbs.

I am working on my bathrooms this week. I may not get all of the items on my list done because I am a bit pushed for time but will do the best I can. If I don't get it all done this week I may need to borrow a day from next week.

Man, those drawers took a lot longer than I thought they would!

Late last night, as I was cleaning the bathroom mirror, I made a decision (after inadvertently spraying my toothbrush with Windex). I pitched the near-empty tube of toothpaste, my toothbrush, my travel toothbrush (which was sitting on the counter, since I uncovered it in a drawer where it doesn't belong), and started rooting through my makeup bag (also siting open on the counter, along with various other cosmetics I pulled out of the drawers). I've been having what is similar to allergies when I wear a full face of makeup and, in that moment, realized I haven't replace my eye shadow, liner, or blush since I retired 3 years ago. I also found 3 bottles of liquid foundation and several different eyeshadow pallets that I have not used in years. It all went into the trash can. I have an Ulta gift card that I've been carrying for years. I'm going to go buy new shadow, blush, liner, and mascara (I purchased a new foundation in a compact recently), and I'm going to date each new product, so I can tell how old it is. I also opened a new toothbrush and tube of toothpaste this morning. What we find when we clean out those drawers and cabinets -- geesh!

Lori, I retired 6 years ago. I have my bottle of este lauder foundation (half full) in the drawer. It is so expensive I hate to pitch it, pretty gross when I think about. I’ve pitched most of my other stuff. Maybe I need to treat my self to a shopping trip! I wear so little makeup now especially since Covid.

The last few times I've worn makeup, my eyes start burning after an hour or so, which makes me think it may be my eye makeup. Some of what I tossed was Clinique. I quit using that brand well before I retired, when they discontinued their City Base cream foundation. So I know how long those products have been sitting there! Last night it was like "time to move on!"

I go through fits and fads with make up. I love it and go all out buying all new products and skin care and then go without make up for a while. I recently bought an eye brow pencil and concealer after getting my brows done, nearly $100 for the 2 items. I was so shocked but bought them anyway. You have prompted me to go through my make up, I am sure a lot of it can be tossed.

I have not worn make up in years and when I did it was very little.

However, since my face isn't getting any younger I should probably treat myself to some blush and maybe eye shadow and/or liner. But,since I know nothing about what would look good on me I will have to go to a "specialist" and wind up paying a fortune.

Sigh!
