It's pretty quiet around here this week, how is everyone doing?

I deep cleaned the front foyer area this morning. There wasn't much to do, so it didn't take long. The biggest job was cleaning out the coat closet - what a mess!! Everything is organized and in the right places - let's see how long it stays that way!! ;)

My Christmas cards are done except for two - they are for family, so they will get pictures and a letter put in right before I mail them.

I need to make a list of how many stamps to buy as I need Canadian, US and overseas stamps.

Everything is done for this week.

I have not started cards as yet. I prefer to do them all together over a few days/ evenings. I have blocked out time to get them done later. I would like to get the O/S ones in the mail earlier.
For some reason and Im not sure what it was my Mum always wanted her cards to arrive to people on the 1st of December. I follow her tradition. I wished that I had asked her why before she went to the angels.

Halloween decorations have been taken down and put away.

I have to sit down this evening and do a status check. My daughter's surgery is in 41 days and I want to have EVERYTHING done by December 6th.

I need to make sure I am to have it all done.

I will put away the Halloween decorations little by little this week as I replace them with Thanksgiving.

Mel, that's a good goal to have everything done by Dec. 6th in light of your daughter's surgery. Fourteen years ago, my husband went into the hospital unexpectedly days before Christmas. Thankfully, I had Christmas pretty much under control with the exception of the Christmas tree and a few cards. My brothers came over and helped with the tree. After that, I became a firm believer that it is never to early to plan ahead because life happens. The following year, I found kindred spirits at CEO's Christmas Countdown. :)
