It's our first week with the students but it will be half days with them. Then after Labor Day, we will go to full days. I think adjusting to the school schedule and adding in the holiday prep work is always a hard adjustment for me.

  • Exercise
  • Prayer
  • Calendar Review of Appointments/Meetings
  • Reading
  • Writing

Weekly:
  • Menu Planning
  • Dust/Vacuum/Mop
  • Bills
  • Laundry
  • Groceries
  • Holiday Prep

Monthly:
  • Kitchen
  • Dust the top of the fan.
  • Clean the oven.
  • Clean the microwave.
  • Clean out the refrigerator.
  • Wipe down cabinets and appliances.
  • Wash the floor.
  • Clean Windows.
  • Wipe down the trash can.
  • Wipe down the wall and door jambs.

Oh goodness!! I am so excited as well!
  • Clean front porch - almost done
  • Clean our front flower beds- done
  • Work on fall cards and gift
  • Bake pumpkin whoopie pies
  • Final gift list for the rest of the year—- birthday and anniversaries
  • Self care: enjoy my pumpkin scented candle, take a long bubble bath, read a book under my favorite fuzzy blanket, do yoga, watch a fall movie, wear comfy clothes one day instead of dressing up, drink a cup of hot apple cider slowly

Good on you for adding self care to the list. It is hard to keep things ticking over when we have nothing left in reserve.

I hope that you have an amazing school year and that the balance that you desire is achievable.

It certainly feels like the Ber days are here, even though we're almost in the middle of September already. Where I live in Alberta, our temperature today is 11°c/51°f and ccccold out there! It was raining most of the morning, but it's now nice and sunny for the last few hours of the day. I could go for a few degrees warmer, but I'll take this over sweltering summer heat. It's definitely sweater, thick tights and wool socks time!
