The friends we visit on Christmas day serve duck, goose and pheasant in mushroom sauce. Usually mashed potatoes and I'll be bringing orzo with cheese and spinach and a trifle. The only problem is that, since our friend hunts, the pheasants often contain shot so you have to worry about your teeth
Sounds amazing, I hope you enjoy every mouthful.....I'm the one who cooks and does the grocery shopping, and I decided that it's been way too long since I've had any Mexican food!
Just short-hand. DW, DH, DD, DS, DSIL, DDIL ... But, nice to know you'll be with your DW for the holidays.(Instead of saying "my wife", should I be saying "DW" on this forum?)
You can use whatever term is comfortable. I use my family's names, I feel comfortable with the group in Chit Chat, most of participate in the Christmas Card Exchange so we know each other's last names and addresses.(Instead of saying "my wife", should I be saying "DW" on this forum?)
Annie, this all sounds amazing. I love the cocktail idea. Enjoy it all dear friend.Christmas Eve: My house

I'm making an adult cocktail which I'll call: "Mrs. Claus's midnight cocktail."
It will be vodka, cranberry juice, oj, and a little grapefruit juice.
Me too! Except I will do it for Tuesday which is when we will celebrate with DS and DDLI will be making cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning
