The friends we visit on Christmas day serve duck, goose and pheasant in mushroom sauce. Usually mashed potatoes and I'll be bringing orzo with cheese and spinach and a trifle. The only problem is that, since our friend hunts, the pheasants often contain shot so you have to worry about your teeth:)

I burst out laughing when I read that! My dad was a hunter, buckshot was frequently on the menu no matter how hard dad and mom tried for it not to be. Brought back a lot of fond memories around the dinner table.

Christmas Eve will be spent at my chef-friend's home, with his family and many friends I've come to know over the years. It's something we've done for close to 25 years, if not more.
Christmas morning will be just me.
Menu: cinnamon rolls or cranberry orange muffins -- depends on how motivated I am to bake on Christmas Eve or in the morning, juice, and coffee
Christmas Dinner, I'm hosting, with just DD and DSIL. Depending on the weather and how much he's worked (he owns a snow removal company for commercial properties), we may end up postponing our gathering until Monday.
Menu: tossed salad with dried cranberries, glazed nuts, bacon bits, croutons
ham and turkey (small breast)
crock pot potatoes (DD is bringing them, her recipe)
green bean casserole
dinner rolls
cookies and breads for dessert, with coffee and/or tea

Ooooo, love all the inspiration here!

My dad and step mom are doing a ham. DH found a recipe for Jack Daniels Macaroni and Cheese . I am making Jiffy Corny Bread Casserole.

Not sure what else, as we are traveling to SC with the grandparents to stay at a resort and toting all the food for Christmas and the week. I went to Fresh Market and got pies and muffins. DS and I made some cookie batches. I have froze it all and will place in a cooler to travel with.

I'm the one who cooks and does the grocery shopping, and I decided that it's been way too long since I've had any Mexican food! So we're having fajitas with cheese, red bell pepper, salsa, guacamole, sour cream, tortillas, and chips. That will be Christmas Eve when my wife's daughter & grandson come over (I didn't know until today). We know they like Mexican food too.

For breakfast Christmas morning, I'm making myself an omelet with eggs, ham, cheese, and red bell pepper. Also, some tater tots. My wife wants non-dairy yogurt.

(Instead of saying "my wife", should I be saying "DW" on this forum?)

You can use whatever term is comfortable. I use my family's names, I feel comfortable with the group in Chit Chat, most of participate in the Christmas Card Exchange so we know each other's last names and addresses.

Merry Christmas from Pamela, Vic, and Sophia xoxo

I just realized this is not Chit Chat, but I know all the members posting here!

Annie, this all sounds amazing. I love the cocktail idea. Enjoy it all dear friend.
