Halimer - i couldn't get into Vox. It started off being a bit too dark for my taste at the time. Does it have a good ending?
I'm reading Us against You by Fredrik Backman. Would definitely recommend both that and Beartown

Rabble - the ending of Vox is positive but like most dystopian fiction it's kind of dark. Indeed not for everyone's taste.

This morning I downloaded A Christmas Guest by
Anne Perry from the local library. I saw it recommended here. I thought I better start early before alot of requests come in for it.

I'm still trying to finish up Imaginary Friend. It's good, but is long and I don't have much time to read. I'm finding the last 1/4 is stretched out much more than it needs to be I think. It's all part of the story line but I think it could be condensed some. I will finish it this weekend.

Finishing the The Canyon People by Micheal Gear and Kathleen O"Neal. They do the Forgotten History series about early Native Americans.

Also reading Fifty Words For Rain by Asha Lemmie about a young woman in WWII Japan.

I have several other titles on reserve at the library but forget what they are right now. Will be a lovely surprise when I get them;)

Just finished Fifty Words for Rain by Asha Lemme about a mixed race girl coming of age in 1950's Japan and Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson, a true story about his efforts to help innocent people on death row.

Starting Stonehenge; a new understanding and Sylvia's Lovers by Edith Gaskell; first one for the brain and the second one for fun - it''s one of those big, slow paced Victorian novels.

I store Thomas Kinkade's book "I'll Be Home For Christmas" with my Christmas decor to read a few pages here and there this time of year. It highlights poems, quotes and stories from other authors with his wonderful artwork added to every other page.
