SparkleNana is busy with her block party and I love hearing about all the details. She is so detailed in her food selection that I can almost taste her treats!

What are you planning now? I am currently working on my cousin's high school graduation party to be had on June 18 and my DH's surprise 40th b-day party which is not until December but we all know how busy we get in December! I feel guilty because at work I have an employee getting married Memorial weekend and another having a baby in June and I really feel like I should throw a shower but I just can't do it at my house right now so I've not done anything.

What are some of the details of your next event?

Setting up an area for face painting by her grandfather, my DH.
The Tutus and the Capes will be the Party Favors to take home.

Currently I don't plan any parties in the near future. In the medium term we will have a garden/grilling party in July and the baptism of DD in September.

I will start my planning for both in June

Well, I'm having a small party for dd's birthday on Sunday evening. We'll have a Belle doll cake, taco dip (her fav!) and cheddar jalapeno dip and a few other snacks/treats. We'll decorate the dining room with pink and princess items. DD will wear the Belle dress we bought her, so it should be cute!

Next weekend I am having a thirty-one party. They sell bags, purses and storage items. I'm going to do wines, cheese, crackers, mini sandwiches and some cookies and a trifle.

That's it for now....

I am also planning my DH's surprise bday bash for December! He's turning 30. We are having a dinner at Macaroni Grill, as they have a private party area that is beautiful and I am allowed to do some decorating. My parents, his parents, and I are paying for dinner, which is basically the whole party. It's $21 per person for a salad, entree, drink, and dessert, which I consider reasonable considering the menu, service, and the fact that I don't have to cook or clean. Plus, everyone can have what they really want.

I am asking everyone to come in ****tail attire, and have found a cute little black dress at David's Bridal, as I need a ****tail/semiformal dress anyway. Since his birthday is one week before Christmas, I am decorating with clear vases filled with sparkling solid-color ball ornaments, a different color for each table, as well as black and white photos of DH throughout his life.

No parties in the near future. Shortly I will start working on planning for DS's b-day party in August and DD b-day in Oct. She wants a fall festival type party with sack races and bobbing for apples.

No parties as such in the planning. Tomorrow we will be having a lovely afternoon tea/dinner with my mum to celebrate Mothers day and her birthday which is May 11th.
We tend to have more parties over the summer so there will be nothing for us for a while.

MissBrittany - Sounds like you and I have a lot of December birthday planning to do! I am still not 100% sure what I'm doing for DH's birthday, but I have been talking to an event company about coming in and doing a casino night. Of course no money is exchanged so it's good for adults and kids. It's all for fun. I'm just not sure how his family will feel about it so that is why I have not solidified the plans yet. Your plans sound really fun! The decorations will be cute too! My DH's birthday is Christmas Eve and I'm thinking about doing his party the first weekend in December.
