Good morning!

What's cooking? I'm not cooking today...heading out to dinner for our anniversary. Just DH and me. I don't know where we're headed yet...

Jessica~glad you liked the Lasagna Toss. I may have to put that on the menu next week. It sounds yummy!

Blessings,
Lisa

No idea since I don't have a working oven. Probably have to pick up pizza somewhere, but then again it's not really worth the gas to get there.

Jessica~can you grill something? I actually cook in the pan on our grill at camp. I've made pancakes, bacon, potatoes, etc.

Do you have an electric skillet? They're good for frying, simmering and baking.

We'll have left over brisket either with beans and a salad, or rolled in a tortilla with all the fixings. I'm getting hungry thinking about it!

I do have an electric skillet. I don't know how to work the grill, it's gas. I keep meaning to have DH teach me before he deploys. I guess i'll have to get on that when he returns.

I'm planning on doing the breakfast for dinner thing.

I'll scramble up some eggs, make my oven roasted potatos, toast, I think I have a couple slices of bacon left too!

and I have some beautiful watermelon and cantalope cut up- throw in some blueberries, good to go!

Kim, I actually buy it from the local market. They have it sliced already and I fry it up and serve it with all the traditional stuff. It's expensive, but alot cheaper then us going to the greek cafe downtown.

MinnieCo: Gyros sounds absolutely delicious! Will keep this in mind for upcoming weekend!

I will have dinner alone today, as DH will have dinner with some of his colleagues this evening. So I will prepare something quite easy - "Kaiserschmarrn with Zwetschgenröster". Kaiserschmarrn is similar to pancakes - "cut-up and sugared pancake with raisins" describes it quite well. Zwetschgenröster is a kind of plums-compote.

It is a traditional austrian recipe.
