I did a lot of crafting in 2025, the most that I have done for a few years. I am glad that I have the time as I really do enjoy creating items.
Some items I did not get to so they are being added to the list for 2026. These may or may not be needed, will see as the year progresses.
First job for the new year is to tidy the craft cupboard, see what I have in there and get started.

*Initials for the grandpup's stockings W(X) M(X) and P (X)
*Gift tags made from paint sample cards ( )
*Knitted cotton face cloths (with cake of soap) as library giving tree gifts ( )
*A rag rug for my bedroom at the farm ( )
*"Paper chain" out of wide ribbon ( )
*Some homemade cordials and syrups ( )
*Use up what yarn I have ( )
*Some felt ornaments for card inserts ( )
*Tidy DH’s advent calendar ( )
*Muslin bags for DS wardrobe scents ( )
*Beeswax food wraps for DD* ( ) leave until see if needed
*Knitted face scrubbies for DD and gift closet* ( ) leave until see if needed

Did NOT do well at all in 2025, a big year full of changes.

Planning to do more in 2026. In fact already thinking of ornaments for friends for 2026, since I will have skipped 2025.

The list? There are not enough days in the year for me to get everything done, lol.
Finish the quilt currently in progress.

Cards- Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas for 2026, valentines and Easter for 2027. Plus a few birthday cards.

Tackle the to do pile- 2 purse and wallet sets, atleast 2 Santa sacks, covers for all my sewing machines.

Would like to make travel bags for gifts- 5 maybe 9. Depends who I gift to.

Quilts- Have 5 I would like to make for us. Some I have all the fabric here.
Would like to make quilts for my cousins, would need 7. I would use up a tremendous amount of my stash which is good.

My top priorities are cards, the to do pile (to get it out of my hair) and finish the quilt in progress. No pressure to get the rest accomplished.

I was speaking to DS about a few things for next year. He is a bit of an old soul, likes things like pocket squares and hair pomade. Loves the 60's. Any way I have been looking for wardrobe scented sachets and cannot find any that have a masculine smell. I have ordered some muslin drawstring bags and will stuff them and spray them with a room air freshener in a sandlewood and cedar fragrance. I am just pondering though what would be the best thing to stuff the bags with?

I have not really crafted anything the past couple of years, unless its things the kids need. My niece got married in September and we were at camp (where she got married) the night before finishing up the decal on the the last pair of pajama's for the bridal party. Will say it was not my fault daughter and niece forgot the mother of the groom (they were getting ready at her house). Niece had them overnighted but not to my house to her parents house so I had to wait for them.

The past two years I have been up all night the day before Christmas eve finishing up DD's work shirts for her and the other 4 supervisors. Dang kid waits until the last min. to get what I don't have already and says mom you need to get them done.

I really need to get my craft room cleaned out which has become the catch all room. I really want to use up supplies that I know I have in there.

So far what I really would like to get done using up what I do know is in the craft room:

Door hangers:
[ ] [ ] DD1 one every day, one Christmas
[ ] [ ] DS2 one every day, one Football season (even though both will be Bills themed)
[ ] [ ] Oldest niece one every day, one Christmas or Football season (Thinking football season she is here enough if she sees a Bills one she will want)
[ ] mom every day (I have made here so many wreaths for all holidays she would not have anywhere to put Christmas one)

Candles: (I did these for both DD2 and DS2 employees a couple of years ago, will have to order more stuff but can start with what I have)
[ ] DD2 this will be around 30-40 candles she works all three shifts and has at least that in cashiers if not more
[ ] DS2 this will depend his company is downsizing those that only work a day or two a week so not sure how many female employees he will have by Christmas) Will do enough even if I have extras I will use them
[ ] Oldest niece (set of 3)
[ ] mom (a set of 3)
[ ] [ ] [ ] SIL's (set of 3 each)

Ornaments not sure how many or of what I just know that my kids, nieces and nephews and my mom are upset that I havent made any in the past couple of years. I know I have a ton of them sitting in the craft room waiting to be made

Well its a start

Rose, nice to get things done so early in the new year.

I am working on knitted face cloths. Will use up the knitting cotton that I have and make for nice gifts with a cake of soap for under the library Christmas tree.
