We decided to do the Saran Wrap Ball game for the children this year. Today my mission was to buy at least 10 items to go into this ball. I found some really neat gifts such as lego figurines, glitter slim, neon slime, small lego sets, cube's and so on. The ages range from 2-9 so I'm trying to put a variety. I'm also including, McDonalds gift cards, Jump Park, Game Stop and so on.

Like Katrina, I'm having to think ahead for food items as well. We do a holiday sleepover for all the grands and we do have a movie night so I picked up an 18 pack box of popcorn as well as theater box type candy for this special sleepover. I make them their own pillowcases and blankets for this sleepover as well and I've begun collecting each child's favorite theme for their pillow cases.

Ordered 4 gifts from shutterfly for free, only had to pay shipping and tax. The local grocery store was participating in the monopoly game and I had several pieces for free items from shutterfly which had to be redeemed by Thursday.

Got some bargains at the hardware. My mum bought me a letterbox to put at the farm. It is a beautiful cream colour and matches our house. Down from 75.00 to 15.00.
We bought 6 bird feeders that were 20.00 each for 4.00 each. We will bundle them up with birdseed and give them out as gifts for friends.
Will need to add bags of birdseed to the shopping list.
Got a few stocking fillers, paint scrapers for DH and lovely glass citronella candles for DD's pool pack.

Went to the office supplies shop with DD and found DS birthday present. DD saw a power charger pack that will be great for traveling instead of taking many chargers so I got that for her for Christmas.
Need to sort gift cupboard very soon as I have things everywhere and I don't want to misplace anything.

housewife2, are the ornaments starting to hit the shops where you are? No sign of anything Christmas related here yet.

Picked up 4 bags of household stuff for my son at dollar tree since everything was 10% off.

I've not seen Christmas here. Fall is starting and Cracker Barrel had Halloween up on Friday.

I am heading to Hobby Lobby tomorrow to stock up on small white washed tobacco baskets to use as Breakfast Baskets for my mom, our siblings and our 2 bestie couples. Originally priced at $18 they are on sale for $3.40 each.
I’ll wrap them up in cellophane with a loaf of quick bread, a jar of preserves and a bag of my Christmas tea mix.

I'm off Tuesday I think a trip to Hobby Lobby is in order. I can squeeze it in between a luncheon and the concert I am going to attend with friends.

They sound great. I wish Hobby Lobby was closer to me, closest one is 30 to 40 minutes away depending on trffic.

It is exciting when you catch that first glimpse of Christmas in the shops.
