Greetings and Happy Mother's Day!

I'm visiting DD and DGKs this week and next. I brought some knitting and CCS with me, as well as the owls that I want to finish up while I'm here. The knitting may take too much concentration for me to do it here with all the distractions; and in the evenings, the lighting isn't very good for CCS … and energy level is very low!

Thanks Lana. The hearts are nice and they are easy to do. I have another 5 cut out and ready to go and they will go into the gift closet for later on.

Okay, I am loving the felt crafts being done. Are you using the polyester felt found at the fabric store? It has some stretch to it and was wondering if it works or if it gives to much.

Another week over another weekend worked and one more road trip tomorrow to NYC with my best friend for her son to see the doctor that they have been on a waiting list for 5 years for. I am beat. Between working and Kenny coming home I really didn't get much done this week. I am really hoping this week at least

/epoxy my cup
decal on my cup
\farm animal signs
/porch welcome stand (need to paint, put hook on and make welcome sign)
:)Shelf for Kayla's bathroom she needs something to put all her stuff on and I have to wood so just going to make it instead of buying one, that way I can put hooks on to put her hair crap on

I am really hoping to get this stuff done this week so I can move on to other stuff

Hellllloooooooo! Finally getting a chance to check in!

I've been working hard on my craft list!!! Here is what I've finished:

Felt Meade Notebook Cover - 3rd and final end of year teacher gift:

Felt Meade Notebook Cover - Christmas Gift:

Charlie Brown Ornament - Front:

and the back:

Elf Movie Inspired Ornament:
https://www.flickr.com/photos/135134547@N04/32896976727/in/dateposted-public/

I did a nice backing on this one too similar to what I did on Charlie Brown ornament above...

Felt Hot Water Bottle Cover:

Here is another view - I left the top open so it can be refilled without taking cover off:
https://www.flickr.com/photos/135134547@N04/33963586388/in/dateposted-public/

Space Themed Altoid Tin Play Set - this lingered from Christmas so I glued it up and gave it to DS as a just because kind of thing - he seemed to really like it!
https://www.flickr.com/photos/135134547@N04/33963586238/in/dateposted-public/

Teacher Appreciation Week Cards:
https://www.flickr.com/photos/135134547@N04/32896976007/in/dateposted-public/

And finally, some Mother's Day cards and a Get Well Card I had to do up unexpectedly:
https://www.flickr.com/photos/135134547@N04/46924620515/in/dateposted-public/

Then I have also made good progress on prepping various felt ornament kits - all of these have all pieces cut out and ready to start sewing:

- 2 Swan
- 4 Bears Holding Presents
- 1 Unicorn
- 1 Reindeer Dacshund
- 1 Zentangle Mermaid
- 1 Snowman Circle

And I'm working on another embroidery hoop style ornament - just a little Charlie Brown Christmas Tree design...about half way done with that one!

These kits should keep me working for a while! I get a lot done sitting at DS's taekwondo classes, sitting in drive thrus, waiting areas, etc. It all adds up!

AJ ~ Very nice work; and impressive list to keep you going! I remember knitting at swim lessons and meets.

I've got my knitting going again. I hit a wall when I was doing one stitch wrong which made me crazy till I figured out what I was doing and made a correction.

Posted a few more pictures on my blog.

AJ you amaze me - you do such beautiful work
Diedra - had to laugh at that 'the only way to get our wings' ;) I think as Mothers our wings will come quite naturally .

Went to knitting lady so now I can keep on knitting some more (was stuck at the heel). Did some more crochet wings last night.

Jody, this is the first time I am using felt for crafting, I am using the felt squares from the craft store and I find it is working well for me for the little ornaments that I am making. Not too much give.

AJ, as usual a beautiful selection of crafts, you are very talented and I am impressed by it all.
crocheting some angel wings
Lucie, would love to see the wings when they are done.
Well done to everyone on what has been achieved over the last few weeks. Imagine if we all displayed our finished crafts together there would be quite a lot of it. We could open a shop.

Katrina nice work on all those projects and way to go on getting so much done.

Well you know that saying read completely through the directions before starting a project. Well I did and than I have also been rereading each section. Casted on my one sleeve, knitted the cuff and than as I was getting ready to do the first increase realized that the cuff was kind of big. Turns out I casted on the last number I read in the directions which was the total number of stitches once all increases were made. So it’s back to the beginning I go. Thankfully it was only the 12th row.

My plan this week is to finish my sweater. All I have to do now is make the long band that goes all the way around the whole thing and the cuffs for the sleeves. If it comes out nicely, and I can sew the pieces together and have it look okay, I think I'll remake it in white or cream as something to throw on over a dress.

I also ordered a book of mitten patterns - all sorts of really different styles. I always give the kids each a new pair for Christmas. (I hang them on the tree Christmas morning) so I think I'll pick them out and pick the wool from my oddballs.

Frosty, I love this idea. I can just imagine the tree holding these perfect little woolen mittens. What a great memory for your little ones.

Thank you! I love the look of the homemade stuff hanging on the tree in the morning. One year I'd just had my youngest and couldn't make anything homemade in time. I bought them an extra something instead, and they were upset. My oldest said she loved thinking that I was up thinking about her and making something for her after she went to bed at night. Now I wouldn't dare skip the homemade presents on the tree!

A few weeks back we were talking about Jean Greenhowe and her pattern books. Looking through my books here I discovered that I have 6 of her books. If anyone wants a copy of a particular pattern let me know and I will try and take photos etc and post them on here.

I've finished the embroidery on the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree ornament - just need to cut backing piece and do blanket stitch around the edge.

Made a small start on simple snowman design felt ornament.

Picked up some supplies at JoAnn's for a couple more ornaments and for planned Father's Day project.
