On to another week!

I am cleaning in my room and taking all my craft stuff out! Wow did I buy enough thru the month of November and December? I do have stuff to work on for next Christmas season.

I will be cleaning this week so I know no crafting.

I have to make some play snow for Teigans birthday, does that count.

Cute items made by some last week.

What are your plans for this week?

I'm crocheting a pink baby beanie for my friend who will be a grandma, again, in Feb. She has a 1 1/2 yr old grandson so he's getting a little sister for 2020.

I will make up some rat book marks for Etsy.

Greetings!

I had to frog the sashing with cornerstones on the memorial quilt, so my main objective is to get that put back together before Thursday so I can take it to show the group. I also want to start on some CCS charts for Valentine cards (in the evenings) and make myself some machine embroidery hearts for my home décor. I'm going to Open Sew on Tuesday but not sure what I'll take to work on. It will definitely be the memorial quilt if I haven't finished it by then.

The one I found is from Pintrest, I plan to do 6, 2 in dark green, 2 in lighter green and 2 in cream. Sort of ombre. I would like to make some scented satchets to attach to each one.

That sounds like a great idea. I also tried crocheting some years back, but they were a very fancy pattern done in fine crochet and I don't crochet very much so I gave up pretty quickly :) I'd never heard of knitting them before.

Hellooooo ladies!

I've been busy making cards!

4 cards for Teacher Appreciation Week:

Also wanted to share pic of mini tree lot embroidery hoop ornament - I'm working on a 2nd one currently:

https://www.flickr.com/photos/135134547@N04/49420916406/in/dateposted-public/

I've also spent some time printing and cutting out patterns for a bunch of felt ornaments - traced pattern pieces and assembled kits - will need to go back and finish cutting out what I've traced and then I can start working my way through them. Alltogether I have 9 or 10 "kits" in play...

I also ordered a pattern for a very detailed Mrs. Claus ornament that I am excited to try - plan to make several as gifts...

AND I spent some time working on teacher Easter tags for their gifts this year - during which time my CriCut was working I did some cleaning and organizing. Got one table and one drawer done ---

It was like an archaeological dig! The deeper I went the further back in time I went! Found several things I'd forgotten about! LOL

I've also been spending time creating CriCut designs for things I've yet to tackle - saves me the time when I am ready to start the project...

AJ ~ Fabulous cards and ornament. You're not wasting any time and sounds like you are multi-tasking, to boot!

I was productive at Open Sew today and am ready for the hand stitching binding on a fall chenille wall hanging which will be a house warming gift for a friend. I also got a small start on the hanging baskets I'm trying to make for DD#2's IKEA wall organizer.

I'm storing up all the walnut shells from the walnuts we've been eating to make Christmas ornaments. I'm thinking of painting them gold and putting dark red ribbons and white beads on them. I also have some ornaments from when I was a kid with a little felt mouse napping in a walnut shell like a bed. I'm wondering if I need to cook the shells or coat them in something so they don't go bad.

I finished DD9's ugly socks yesterday. She loved them. She seemed to really perk up after being home sick all day to have something homemade for her.

jampss - those hats are so nice!

I bet you could clear coat them! The ornament ideas sound DARLING - I have the sweetest baby's first Christmas ornament idea pinned that uses the walnut shell as a little bassinet for the "baby" - I've always wanted to make it! Please be sure to share pics!

I'm 99% finished with 2 more ornaments - need to finish backer piece on one and the other is all ready to glue together. Will post pics as soon as they are complete!

FS, I have one my gma did in the walnut shell with the mouse.

I am just making rock candy (blue for Frozen theme) and then going to put some glitter on tree limbs with clear spray and the glitter. If the limbs dry out.
