I feel a little behind too Mary, I have not picked up a book for weeks, and my chores seem to have gone by the wayside.
Will get back to it this week.

February was just a weird month. It just seemed like routines got thrown out and I wasn't expecting it. It just set me off course.

What worked in February:
  • Eating from the freezer. All the meats I cooked up in the Oct.-,Dec. time frame has come in handy for the nights I didn't feel like cooking which seemed like almost every night.
  • I cut back on two activities this week. It freed up time to get some things done this week. It was the best thing I could have done for me. I feel a bit more peaceful just knowing that some big items are off my list. We are having a Confirmation party next Saturday and we have an obligation on Friday night. Confirmation practice is Thursday night. In essence, the house and most party needs have to be ready by Wednesday night. There are some last minute touch ups and food prep that I will do but I want to know by Wednesday that everything else is good to go.
  • Extra TLC to my family. While it set me back on my to do list, it was what was needed. Lots of growth and changes are happening here. It's all good but my, it tires me out.
What didn't work in February:
  • No snow days. We have had no snow days at all this winter which means that the world has just kept on going and going and going. I've missed the snow days. That means that the world has to stop for a few days and we can all catch up to ourselves. I think that is what has also been tough for me these past few weeks.
  • Staying up late. This is a no brainer for me from October through December. However, I really need to do this year round. Late nights equals late mornings which equals less time for my health habits. I didn't get to the typical morning healthy habits I was establishing. Then I tried to do it in the evenings along with the other things that I fell behind on.
  • Letting healthy boundaries slowly deteriorate. Again, something I know but somehow, little by little the boundaries started to messy and hard to define. I have to protect my boundaries and be honest with myself, again, so that I can be the best me that I can be.

Mary,
I hear what you are saying.
February was rough. Car got written off on the 5th so with out transport I was always trying to organise things so that I could get to work etc. The extra planning was hard on the brain. I had to cancel a lot of appointments and will have to reschedule them at some stage.
DH father was unwell and he was off work (still is) for 3 weeks while he sat at the hospital, it meant that had extra chores to do here.
Luckily we did have food in the freezer that DS could prepare while I was at work.
I have started Winter prep by deep cleaning the laundry room yesterday so hopefully will not fall behind on that.

Looking forward to March and the cooler weather and return to some normality when I pick up new car this week.
