My word for 2017 is..........
FEARLESS
This word isn't just speaking to me, it is screaming at me and has been for quite some time.
It makes me wonder what 2017 has in store for me.

Still thinking of my word, I am tossing up between two. I have a FEELING that I want to achieve but can't think of the word that goes with it.

I've decided to stay with nurture because I didn't really do well with it this year. I haven't really expressed it much on here, but it's been a difficult year for me for several reasons, and I can tell it because I come in from work each day and seem to not be able to get anything done. I haven't taken care of my health as I should. I need to do something about that and make better plans about how I will take care of meals, lunch for work, and making time to exercise. So, Nurture it's going to be and maybe I'll get it together enough to put it into action.
I haven't given it much thought yet, but we will have a lot of changes in 2017 with our move to Hawaii. I also need to slow down and take better care of myself and my family. So I need to think of something that encompasses all of that.
I think I may choose APPRECIATE.
Im finding that our lives are so busy that Im often too busy to appreciate the small things. 2017 will be Luke's last year in primary school before he heads off to high school. Many things will change then- I guess I want to appreciate and enjoy what we have. I want to appreciate the time we spend together without feeling that we are always thinking about what's next or what needs to be done.
I guess that I need/ want to make an effort to notice the little things. Not to worry if things occasionally get behind- laundry, cleaning etc can always be caught up on but one day I will turn around and Luke will be all grown up- I don't want to miss it because I was too busy looking forward to appreciate the present.

I think that I am going to choose the word RENEW.
I have a feeling that I can't explain but I feel like I need a fresh start. Renew old friendships, my diet, the relationship with my family, how/what we eat, how we spend our money. Just look at everything with fresh eyes.

Trying to declutter this next year. So will try to keep this word in mind when I tackle the decluttering. Also will apply this to my eating and activities.

Love all the words chosen so far for 2017. I asked my mom for help, as I always do because she's good at these things, and she sent me a list of suggestions and the reasons why for the suggestions. I'm going to ponder them and then pick one unless I find something else that knocks me in the head as the one before then.
I love RENEW!! Great choice and I have to say I've been feeling the same about everything you wrote...it's time.

I'm thinking BELIEVE. It keeps coming up everywhere I turn recently, of course for the holidays, but in other ways too. Of course, believe as in my faith. With all of my challenges at work, I have to believe that good will prevail. I have to believe in myself and others.
