One more GPD after this month. How are your Halloween crafts coming along?
I don't usually dress for Halloween but I found Jose's bat costume and he is so stinking adorable in it. He looks like one of the flying monkey's on the wizard of OZ. Sooo I thought I'd dress up as the witch.
I found a headband with a little witches hat on it about 6 inches tall.
I already have long grey hair. And I found this skirt on pintrest

The pattern is for a baby, but I can pretty much do it by looking at the picture.
I had one spool of tulle and bought 4 more on sale at hobby lobby, there are 25 yards on a spool, so that's 125 yards of tulle should be enough. If not I have 2 spools of orange and one of yellow and one of purple.
So I could mix it up.

What are your plans for GPD?

Debbi - I have been in LOVE with that skirt from Pinterest for a while now! Someday I will make that! Just not this year. lol

Just running out of TIME! I had meant to browse Goodwill and $ store for some new frames - or even garage sales - but I just haven't been making it there.

Then I am planning on these for classroom treats for DS's daycare:

Simple, but cute. I think I'll buy regular flavor tootsie pops and then cover with black paper - maybe wrapping paper would work? - before adding the black pipe cleaners to look like the spider legs.

My daughter made a fairy costume for my GD she just got a piece of elastic and tied the tulle on, it comes on spools now 25 yards a spool. and the spools are 50% off every 2 or 3 weeks at HL. so you can get them for about 2.00
I picked up a hundred yards for 8.00 I already have orange yellow and green left over from making wreathes last year.

Hi Debbie! I need to figure out what I'm going to dress up as this year...my mom and several of her siblings (& cousins) get together in the Catskills, NY every October and we end the festivities with a big costume party. I've been Malificent, a witch, an Angry Bird, a pregnant skeleton (that's how I told my relatives about DS2) and Snookie (long story) in previous years. I'd really like to be Cruella DeVille, but I can't find it in my size and I don't sew. The boys want to be Spiderman and a ninja.

DS7 is pestering me to start decorating for Halloween already. DH threatened to move out if we start before September 15th! LOL~!
