    Good morning!

It is going to get hot again, but it us summer, July in Indiana. Yesterday was beautiful. I don't have any major plans for today. Just the usual stuff. Right now, I am lying in bed. Getting hungry, so I will get up and fix some breakfast soon.

Hope you all have a wonderful day. Stay safe and be blessed! Later, Gators!

    Morning all~

Only 165 days until Christmas :)

A hot one here today. The kids were up early (5:30) and ready to play.

Not much planned for today. I did a lot of sorting and cleaning last night after the kids went to bed. I need to get another donation box ready.

    Enjoy your weekend!

Good morning all. I am in bed watching the Tour de France. Such pretty countryside.
Hope that you all have a great day and that the weather is cooler.

    Not so happy here :(
DS was at music festival yesterday and fell. His elbow popped and is fractured. He spent night at hospital with ddil. they put the arm back in but seems it was VERY painful, it popped right out again. so they drugged him and put it back in. Seems they have ligaments to repair and they need a specialist (none on the weekend). DH is now at the hospital with them.
I stayed here with the dog (and I had tummy problems again last night , so this ain't helping this morning). we did not get much sleep and my neck is jammed. :(
The only nice thing this weekend is that on channel W (we don't get Hallmark) there are Christmas movies all day today and tomorrow.

Hi everyone. I haven't been here in a while, so some of you may have forgot me & some may have no clue who I am. But I have fond memories of MHH and wanted to drop in today and say hi. We are keeping an eye on tropical storm Barry to see how much not needed rain we will receive. Have a great day all.

Lucie I pray your son arm heals quickly..

Tricia glad to see you back - stay safe from the storms. I'll be following on tv throughout the day.

DDIL is here, she came to take a shower and is asleep in the basement. I went for a walk with the dog and stopped by sil's to tell her and mil. DH sent me a picture of my son, he was body surfing!!! grrrrrrr.. but he is a smaller format so sometimes they just pick him up (not sure he said no though). At least it's his left arm not his dominant one. Think I'll have to cancel hairdresser on Monday and be there for his operation as ddil will be working at her new job and dh will be at work too. will wait a little and see.

    Good morning, everyone.

It's cloudy here and we have light winds. We aren't getting any rain now, but we are predicted to get 8 to 12 inches of rain between tonight and Monday morning where I live. Our farmers don't need wind. A lot of corn is grown here, and most are at the point of their last watering before they start letting it dry out for cutting. If it gets laid over, that's the end of that for them making a profit. Once it lays over, it's done for. DH and I need to check on getting sand bags for my mom's den. It's ground level. The rest of her house is off the ground. If you're watching the weather channel, Stephanie Abrams is in Morgan City. DGS#1 is supposed to be playing ball there in a tournament on Monday. DS has a meeting there tomorrow night. I'm not so sure that's going to happen.

DGS#1's BD was yesterday. We went to DS's house last night for supper. DGS turned the big 13! He had friends over...girls and boys. The boys were spending the night, I think. I was instructed by DGS to bring twice baked potato casserole to go with BBQ. It was a good night.

I'm cleaning in our bedroom today...deep cleaning. I would like to get a new bedspread/comforter. We've had our current one for about six years, I think. It was an expensive one that I bought on clearance and still looks great. Just ready for something different.

Tricia, good to see you posting. It's crazy to realize how far up this tropical system is going to make impacts.
Lucie, geesh....hope your son's arm is okay and he doesn't have lingering problems with it.
Katrina, enjoy your time watching the race. Hope you're under a warm blanket!
FS, I smiled when I read your post....reminiscent of days when my children were little! :)
Faye, enjoy your day going to the premiere. We don't have a Hallmark shop nearby.

Hope you all have a great day!

    Aloha!

Spoke to my friend last night, she called me from the hospital. I guess she got sick after the surgery. I had warned her that had happened to me after my first surgery and to ask for them to give her anti-nausea meds in her IV during the surgery, just in case. I guess she forgot or didn't think she would get sick. She did. And after abdominal surgery that is the worst! She said she was sobbing it hurt so bad. I bet! She had her uterus, cervix, and both fallopian tubes removed, a 5 hour surgery. They must do things differently here. I'm pretty sure my surgery was under an hour to remove my uterus and cervix, and she had 3 doctors. Weird. Anyway, she seemed good, the meds were working and she wasn't in pain, had already been up walking so no catheter still. I remember they made me keep the catheter until the next day. Ick! She'll be home sometime today. I may run out and grab some flowers to go leave for her before she gets home. We'll see though. I can always drop them by later.

I'm not sure what the kids and I will do today. I should tackle some more around the house because my mom comes in 3 days!!! There is an art festival in Haleiwa this weekend I wouldn't mind checking out and a Family Farm Festival further up North Shore that we have free tickets for as well. DH is working all weekend. I have my hair appointment tomorrow afternoon. I need to work on my resume some more too before I talk to my program mentor on Tuesday.

Hi Faye, have a fun day!
    Pam and FS- Stay cool!
    Hi Katrina!
Lucie- Ouch for DS! I hope they can repair it easily. Here we have specialists on call. Sorry about your neck. Thank goodness for Christmas movies.
    Tricia- Glad to see you!
Jane- Happy Birthday to DGS! Love that he requested a special casserole from you. Will be sending good thoughts about the weather.

    Enjoy your day!

Hello all! Hot and sunny one more time!

I'm in the mood for knitting so I knitted last night while watching TV. I've noticed that with crafts sometime I want to do one thing and then a few months later another. I guess I just have to go with my moods.

Since we are planning to leave tomorrow I am doing laundry (about 4 loads), finishing packing and trying to remember things I might have forgotten. Made tuna salad and egg salad to take with us and we will finish the leftovers in the fridge tonight although I'd rather have pizza.

Lucie - hope DS's operation is successful
    Tricia - welcome back!
Jane - hope you are safe - I think the things at Morgan City will be cancelled
Pam - take it easy now that the heat is back
Faye - enjoy the Hallmark premiere
FS - children are very early risers - they can hear the grass growing - as DS always said.

Will try to check in when internet is available - I'm not going to the end of the world - just Doswell VA, but once you're outside of big cities it is iffy.

    Afternoon, everyone.

I'm bogged down with the cleaning....just where do you put all the stuff, anyway?! Our room seems to be the just-dump-it-in-there room. I put aside three pair of shoes to let my sister see if she wants them. I plan to get rid of more as I wear them and decide whether or not they are comfortable enough that I want to keep them.

We're beginning to get some rain. I'm not sure of the exact wind speed, but I'm thinking around 15 MPH just by looking out. What I'm hoping is that we don't lose electricity! It's too hot here for no air conditioning!

Jess, both activities sound like fun.
Debbie, hope you get everything done for the trip.

I'm about to power nap, maybe it will get me over my slump.

    Later, everyone.

Hello. It's afternoon already, isn't it? I took dgd to gymnastics but just dropped her off and came home. I don't know what the day is going to bring, but I know it will not involve going outside. It will be 110 deg. - too hot for me.

Lucie, I'm sorry to hear about your DS's arm - I hope it heals fast.

Hello everyone. Have a nice day.

    Good morning,
Sunday here for us and it has just gone 7am. Other DrillDance coach and I are off to a meeting in Sydney which is about 3 1/2 hours from us. The good thing about the drive is that she is great company, The meeting will take a little less than 2 hours so 7 hours in the car for us today, We have suggested that we meet via Skype but that has not happened yet.

I was unwell again last night, I wonder if my new meds are making me sick. Will monitor and if so will speak to the doctor.

Tricia, nice to see you here,
Lucie, hope that DS arm is fixed soon,
Deb, stay cool, 110 is way too hot.
Hope that everyone else has a great day.

    Much love

I'm playing catch up and doing alot of reading here in the forum and the more I read the more I realize things are going to change again around here. I got word this week that our oldest daughter and grandbabies are moving next month. I'm sooooo sad. They were just getting to the age I could make memories and it was finally getting "fun" again with kid stuff to do (2,4, and 6) . My other daughter is also out of state and I know they have no plans of living local either. I just never thought all my grandbabies would end up out of state. The unfortunate part is this daughter in particular is not a tradition kind of person, so making long distance memories will be hard. I'm not worried about that with my youngest, she's just like me when it comes to the holidays. :(:(:(

    Good evening!

What a busy day for me! I did a lot of chores today....laundry is done for J and me, did the usual daily chores, then I spent hours in the kitchen making cookies for our cousin's wedding and prepping everything for tonight's dinner. Then we went to the afternoon mass, ran to Dollar Tree to get containers for the cookies....picked up something that I could freeze the cookies in and then leave behind for them to use to pack up leftover cookies...and back home to put dinner together. We ate, and then I just finished doing bills. My least favorite chore and it's getting to be 8 o'clock.

M got overheated at soccer today. She has a headache, so she is just resting in the ac. H went out with a friend....it's his first Saturday off in weeks. I see J is outside burning boxes in the burn barrel. Karla is chilling with me. She doesn't like the heat either.

Tomorrow's plan is to go to Hallmark and have a relaxing day. It's going to be our busy season soon, so I'm trying to get some down time in....and not because of a cold or a bum knee.

Michelle....sending hugs your way. You will find a way to do traditions with the grandchildren. I'm sure of it!
Katrina...I'm sorry you are feeling ill. I hope you are feeling better soon!
    Lucie...hope ds's arm heals quickly.
    Debbie....have a safe trip!
    Jane...stay safe in the storm.
Hi Tricia...nice to see you on the forums.
Hi Pam, Deb, FS, Jody and all who stopped by!

Time to find something good on tv to watch and get this knee propped up!

    Have a blessed night!

My granddaughters live out of state too. I plan visits and always try to take something with me for them to do with me. I was just there at the end of June and we did this together https://www.pinterest.com/pin/442760207115873874/
simple, a little time consuming so you have time to connect and they are all dancers and thought they were marvelous! It is much easier when they are closer but life doesn't always caterer us.

    Afternoon!

DH forgot his long sleeved shirt this morning so I had to run that down to him at the college so he didn't have to wear his jacket this afternoon on the range. Afterwards I stopped by Sam's Club and picked up some things and some flowers for my friend. I stopped by their house on the way home. No one was home so I left the flowers in a cup of water on the counter with a note. DD and I have been watching Christmas movies on Hallmark. The kids and I ran out to the library to pick up our last summer reading prizes. We stopped at the PX to grab hangers so I can finish DS's room before my mom comes and DD needed a birthday present for a friend for tomorrow. Eli has some Starbucks gift cards so he came with us to get a drink. We went by Burger King and grabbed lunch on the way home. I'm watching another Christmas movie and DD is off to a movie with a friend here on post. Her mom took them and i'll pick them up.

Shortly i'll head up to DS's room and get to work. There's a TV in his room so I can continue watching movies. I picked up the summer Pioneer Woman magazine and Magnolia Journal at Sam's Club. I've already flipped through both and have bookmarked some pages. My mom texted and asked if I wanted her to bring any recipes for her to cook while she's here. I couldn't think of anything, but maybe something will come to me later.

Debbie- Safe travels on your trip!
Michelle- Sorry to hear that your daughter is moving away. Even if your DD isn't into traditions maybe you and your DGDs can come up with something to keep connected.

Thanks ladies for all the welcome back kind words. I receive an Air Fryer for my 60th birthday last Sunday so I've been experimenting with it the past few days. We had cheeseburgers that were cooked in it today. They were very good.

We are under a flash flood watch. With this hot weather we're concerned about power outages. I saw where there is a large power outage in New York. DH said he a transform blew or something. I believe TWC said 100, 000 people were without power in LA.

I pray you & yours have a great night..
