    Good morning.
Back to work today after a few PTO days. I really wish I could stay home a few more. :)
Taking a few bags of clothes to be dropped off in the donation bins today.
I made my To Do List for the day & have already crossed off a few things. That visual has been working for me. A lot of times after work I don't have a whole lot left in me or I am in pain. I just need to work through it & get to it.
    Have a great day!

I hope everyone is warm and dry. DS16 does not have his online class due to the holiday. DH does have work, though. I am going out to lunch with a friend later. It was 35 overnight here and tonight is suppose to be 31 and a freeze watch. This will be our one week of winter in north central Florida. LOL :p We might get another one in February.

DS slept his weekend away ... so back to the drawing board and the therapists and life coach to see what motivation can be found. He really wants a part time job but he isn't showing signs of making healthy choices to get ready for that. A healthy 'sleep hygiene' habit they call it. He only has classes two days a week at 12:30 pm on campus and the one online class he does from home.

Meanwhile, DD27 in VT is still enjoying her new job as she shadows a special needs student with accommodations. She is also painting walls in her new house and making cat shelves and walks, etc.

Good day everyone. It is really cold today. It's 21 but feels like 10 at the moment. Temps are supposed to get up to 35 later. DH is off for MLK Day but has to go out for a couple of hours for plant duty. Thankfully he dressed warmly. This cold air seems to make me hurt more and cough more which doesn't help anything.

Hope this day brings you ladies whatever you and your family needs. Have a great day..

Morning -17C here this morning without windchill... brrrr! have the propane foyer going.
Got up at 7:00, really needed some sleep.
Posted on my blog about the weekend and put up a few more pictures of the baby.

So Saturday we went back to dd's appartment and finished assembling the IKEA furniture, put up a shower rod and curtains. came back here for 3:15. dDIL & Xavier got here 15 minutes later (ds had an activity with co-workers at his boss's cabin). He got here about midnight and they decided to sleep over.
Sunday ds had a hockey game at 2:30 and ddil had a yoga class at 4:00. So they spent the day and left after supper around 7:30. Had lots of baby-cuddling time over the weekend.

Today will be doing my chores!

    Morning!

I am off today and it is cold!

Cleaning is what I have planned.

Katrina, back in '89 we had a hail storm come thru with golf ball size hail. Totaled all of our cars at the bank I was at then. Broke windows out of several homes. The sky was a beautiful color but I never want to see that color again!

    Eveybody have a GREAT day!

    Good morning!

It's a sunny, snow covered day here...19*, but real feel of 7*. No school or work for us today, which is nice. I'm going to go to Sam's Club today for a few items and hopefully stop at Hobby Lobby for a few things too. M has dance tonight, so I'll be taking her there too.

We went to dance last night and the dance instructor said M's solo song was too slow for her, so we need to pick a new one. M was very disappointed. The reality is that it would be an "easy" dance for someone at her level and not competitive at all, if she wanted to compete with it in the future. So....we search again....

That's about it for me.....hope you have a lovely day doing whatever it is that makes you smile!

    ~peace~

    Aloha!

I woke up this morning with a horrible headache. One side of my nose is stuffy and my eyes are itchy. I think it's from having the windows open yesterday morning and then going for that walk last night. Something must be blooming now that is getting to me. I can't eat or drink anything this morning which stinks because coffee would most definitely help. I hope my nose clears up by the time I go in for my procedure. I sure hope the procedure takes away this headache.

Yesterday there were 2 police officers shot and killed down by Diamond Head and 7 homes destroyed by fire in the same incident. The suspect was being evicted so he stabbed the female landlord who then called the police. The police came and were escorting her away and the man opened fire on them, killing the first officer. Back up showed up and he opened fire again, killing another officer and wounding another. He then set the house on fire that he was living in which ignited nearby houses. They believe he died in the fire, along with two other people, but are actively searching for him until they find and identify his remains.

The kids don't have school today and DH is off. He'll take me to the procedure and bring me home, not sure what his plans are after that. I doubt i'll be doing anything but laying around.

Katrina- That's awful about your vehicles!
Laura- Nice work crossing off those to-dos! I find that having a visual list helps me too.
jampss- I hope they can figure out something to help DS with the "sleep hygiene". Glad DD is doing so well .
    Tricia- Stay in and warm!
    Lucie- Busy weekend for you!
Lana- Wow! Hail can be crazy for sure.
Lisa- Sorry the song didn't work out. I hope it's not too difficult to pick a new one.

    Enjoy your day!

    Morning to all,

Enjoy your holiday -those who have one today.

I was hoping for a snowday as we had about 30 cm yesterday and another 3-4 overnight, but they just said the buses would be using their discretion. I always find that an odd phrase.....shouldn't they always be using their discretion?

DD6 was crying when she found out school was open. These are the days I miss having them home the most...when there's beautiful untouched snow in the backyard and I know they're sitting in their desks doing stuff they already know how to do. DD6 is learning basic sight words like "a" and "at". I told her to ask her teacher if tshe could work on something else or read if she finds it that boring. They already had someone test her reading because they test all new kids into the school, so they know she can read at a grade 6 level. She's the kind of kid who gets into mischief if she isn't occupied. DD9 on the other hand has just learned to zone out and daydream for much of the day.

I'm trying to get back to following FlyLady, so doing some cleaning and trying to make my Control Journal while DD3 is napping.

Mrs. Soup - That's just awful what happened! Hope your headache goes away.

Aahh....I should have known the moment I said DD3 was napping she'd wake up and want to play......no control journal for now.

Good morning. We have gray skies, temp on the cool side, and windows open to clear out the stuffiness. Those will close soon because I'm getting cold.

I join those who use a written to-do list. Clears my mind, keeps me on task, and at the end of the day I can see what I have accomplished. Laundry today...bedding first so I can get the beds made up as soon as dh gets in the shower. It's difficult moving around the bedroom while he is scanning pictures on the computer.

Katrina - That hail storm is just indescribable! Awesome, terrifying, destructive. It's sad about your car.

Stay warm, and have a good day!

    Hello, Everyone!

It is so flippin' cold again today! My car doors were frozen shut yesterday when I tried to go to church. There was white stuff on my windshield this a.m., so I did not even attempt going out! I texted our Bible study leader that my doors were frozen shut! I did not even want to attempt to try to open and risk hurting my back. I hurt from yesterday.

At least the sun is out today. Yesterday, I made chicken pot pie for N. It was good, but not as good what I made for Jay. I will make the next one with cream of chicken soup maybe for more flavor. I need to clean up my kitchen.

Jess, I hope your procedure went well. Did your headache go away before hand? I am grieved to hear what happened. So very sad.
Katrina, oh my stars and garters! That storm was a doozy!
    Jampss, how is DS doing?
FS, my heart goes out to your DD. No child should have to endure such treatment!
Lisa, has your day been a good one? I don't know if my Sam had school today or not.
Lana, how is the cleaning going? I have finally learned to give myself a lot longer to do things than before. I just can't do as much as I used to! Good luck!
Lucie, I must go look up the sweet pictures of the latest MHH nephew.
Trisha, hope your day is going well.

I had best get with the program myself. Sitting so long makes my back hurt a ton today! I think I will see if the white stuff has melted off my car. Have a great rest of the day! Stay safe and be blessed!

    Good morning all,
Slept on and off last night I think I was wound up by the storm yesterday. I have looked at the car this morning and it did not get better overnight;)
Off to work for me today, will be by myself until boss gets there at 12.30 so will find plenty to keep me occupied.
I am not taking my medication today, I cannot stand the nausea and I need to be on my game with boss there. I did speak to my Dr last night and he has drawn me a script for anti nausea meds to help. I will get that sent over to the chemist today and start taking that.

Well that is it from me, I hope that you are all safe and warm and doing something that you love,
    XOXO

Have vaccumed and dusted all main floor. Decluttered a few things (not enough!). Made some ovencooked oats ... will see if I like it - it'll make quick breakfasts for me. Prepped my lunch and dh's. Prepped some yogourts with fruits for my lunches this week. Did dishes. Ran and emptied dishwasher. Did one load of laundry. Washed the shower. Menu planned. Tried on bathing suits to see what fits and what doesn't. I'll be ok for the summer., got rid of one top.
Just relaxing and doing odd things here and there.

    Good evening!

I had a nice day with the family. We went to Sam's and tackled that list. I also bought a book When Less is More by Emily Lee. I'm looking forward to reading it. I got all I wanted at Hobby Lobby and then some. :p Then we met H for lunch. He drove down from State College to meet us in Altoona. Then we stopped at Dollar Tree...can't believe how picked over Valentine's Day was...and ran the Tahoe through the car wash to get rid of the salt and dirt. When we got home and unloaded, I cleaned the appliances and vaccumed and scrubbed the floors. Before I knew it, it was time to take M to dance. When I got back, I laid out my stuff for school tomorrow.

J and I had cereal for dinner...and watched tv. Now I'm watching Lone Star 9-1-1. Its a good one so far. J went to pick up M.

FS...your school system is something else. Can the girls be tested for enrichment?

    Sweet dreams my friends....

    Hello, everyone.

I have still not solved our software issue at work with our diagnostic program. The software writer is saying our tablets aren't compatible with the software. And, the tablets at the clinic are the ones they said should be purchased. They may just have to buy new ones...I don't know. I just know we can't run a clinic if the tablets aren't working with the program. It's really frustrating. Tomorrow, I'm going to tell Dr. R that someone with IT skills is going to have talk to them. I'm all out of solutions. I've tried every way possible I know how to make it work.

I put supper on to cook and took a bath and washed my hair after I got off work. A lot of flu in the clinic today - three of whom are my great niece and nephews. It was cold here, 43 for a high. In the 20s tonight.

I looked at the email from the lady (the rude one) saying she needed some things for our file. All the things she says she needs, I took to the credit union the day she was on the conference call and couldn't see me. I'll call and ask to speak to the other lady (nice one) and see if they were overlooked or failed to be copied.

Hope you all have a good night. Hope Jess's test give some answers.

    Evening!

My procedure went fine, it was very quick. I thought they were going to put me out, but it was just numbing the area. I did get a sedative in my IV line right before the procedure to relax me. I couldn't take anything for my migraine so I went there with it, which wasn't necessarily a bad thing since that was the point of the procedure to try to take the pain away. They took me back, asked some questions, started the IV line but didn't hook it up to anything. The doctor came back and talked to me and then I waited a little bit and another guy came and got me and took me to the procedure room. I had to lay face down on the table, they put a sedative in my IV and then got started numbing the area and then doing the injections. I have 4 holes, they put band-aids on them and took me back to my recliner with warm blankets where I sat for about 30 minutes before I was released to go home. The whole procedure room took maybe 5 minutes or so. I was a little wobbly because of the sedative but other than that fine.

We came home and I have been on the couch most of the day taking it easy. The procedure took my migraine away! They told me to pay attention to my pain level and where the pain decreased if it did in a few hours after the numbness wore off. My migraine never came back so I count that as a win. My neck has gotten increasingly more sore throughout the day. I just had DH take the band-aids off, they were all in my hair so it was painful. I'm sure i'll be sore tomorrow as well. DD made a chocolate cake from scratch this afternoon, it's delicious. We've been watching Master Chef all day. haha I took a small nap.

Thinking of you all! Goodnight friends!

teachermomof2 - They don't offer any enrichment here. DD6 is bringing home sheets about learning sight words while she's reading novels at home. DD9 was doing grade 9 math because I let her go at her own speed, and now she's learning to double numbers and add two-digit numbers without having to carry. I wish there was some other program available.
