Going through my linen cupboard today. Does anyone else have pillow cases that are missing partners? They are like socks. I also have way too many bath mats, will donate some and try and use the others somewhere else.

I quickly decluttered the kitchen drawers where I keep the lunch bags, Gladwrap and foil. Wiped out the drawers and got rid of a few things.

I have come to the realisation that I do not have to fill every drawer and cupboard to the brim. It is OK to have empty shelves.

I did dd's closet this morning.. more reorganizing than decluttering. when she comes home she can check out if there are more things she wants to get rid of in the half of the closet I reserved for her. the other half is my summer clothes and tons of games. but now the games are all in the same area instead of 3 different places.

De-clutter

I have done cleaning out of Christmas decor as I put it away. Also did DVD's, VHS, books. I did my clothes, as I have to remove all of them to get to the back of the clothes for Christmas decor boxes. But as I look around ... still so much "stuff". Where does it all come from?

J took the three bags that were in the trunk of the car to the thrift store on his lunch break today.

Glad that is finally done.

Yesterday I pulled all of my CD's out so that I could download them to my ipod. Today I will be sorting through them to see what I no longer really love.
Then out they go!

Have sorted the Cds and donated about 6.
Just spoken to my DB and he needs a cheap suitcase for his work trips. I have one here that he can have so a win/win.

Katrina,

Isn't it great when we have something someone can use?!

Good job on going through the CDs.

Went through the Tupperware cupboard today. Got some stuff out and onto the donate pile and just tidied the rest. Good to have that job done.

Since I did a big declutter last year I have a lot less to get rid of... now I'd like to do 'Use what you have'... I've got so many things around that I need to use up to make space! I don't need 6 bottles of bathroom cleaner at a time, or lots of natural grains that just stay in the pantry. And before buying new wool... I could use up the whole lot that I have.

Lucie, I am much the same. I have 3-4 bottles of fabric softener at the moment, all different scents. I do tend to stockpile food, which is a habit I need to stop as sometimes the use by date is up before I use the product.

Last day of January . Decluttered my night table and got rid of a few things. Now my accupressure mat can go in there. Decluttered my clothes armoire, got rid of quite a few things (mainly pj's, 2 sweaters, 1 cami, 1 pair of sweatpants, some wool socks, a whole bag of socks and some bras).

think I'll go knit some more, some tv and tea.. will be a slow Sunday.

Will finish off the kitchen today, the spice, cups and baking cupboards all need looking at. The pantry needs a major overhaul but not sure if I will get time to do that today. Every little bit out is a mini victory.
