    Hello, everyone.

Tomorrow starts the final countdown! DH is getting the tree out of the shed even as I type. I'm looking forward to this day at home with no where to go.

Hope you all have a great day!

    Hi Jane and All!

I am up showered and getting ready to head out to work. I think I heard rain every time I woke up last night.

Hoping to work on my list this week-end.

I still have to finish decorating the rest of the house. Hope to get it done by next week-end.

    Have a GREAT day everybody!

    Good Morning Jane and Lana,

I am up early to get the decorating done. I hope to stay home and let DH do the errands, grocery shop, library and Kohls pick up. (We will have an guest for our family Christmas (ds's college friend) and needed a gift for him. DS told me not to get anything for him that he would take care of it but we see him often enough that hel belongs.

It;s 37 and cloudy until about noon than will have good chances of rain.
    Best move along.

    Good morning!

I am such a slug. I spent most of yesterday in bed. I was so tired! When will I learn that I just cannot do this anymore? And I was so excited about it all! I see little things that I forgot....had a few items of silverware that I forgot to give Steve and Mel. Forgot the t.v. Trays. Did not have enough time to make the corn casserole, because I kept getting texts from family. AND the biggie? I forgot to make stuffing! Who does that? I'm losing it, man!

Today, MJ and I have a birthday party open house at church this afternoon. It is for one of the nicest guys in the world. He treats everyone with kindness. It is from 2-4. I will pick her up about 1:30.

I have been sneezing my head off this morning. Ugh. We are gonna have rain most of the day. And it is going to be chilly. Not a good weather day, at all.

Guess I had best call MJ and remind her of today. Bless her heart. She really had a good time on Thanksgiving! I think her favorite thing was playing peek-a-boo with Brysen.

Have a great day! Have fun if you are shopping. Stay safe and be blessed!

LC22 decided to stay home this weekend. We are under a severe winter storm warning until Sunday at midnight. She is making Chocolate Covered Cherries. She lost her recipe I had given her in her move along with all her pots and pans. She texted for me to send it to her. Problem is I can’t find it either. Probably still packed. It’s an easy recipe so she just tried a few things. She thinks she has it close enough to be ok. I might play around with the ingredients today too. Just not sure I can roll the candy around the cherries with one hand.

    Enjoy the weekend

I ended up with a horrible migraine last night. My eyes were itchy and watering and just felt awful and my nose was trying to run while all stuffed up. I was a hot mess. I took a hot bath and then a migraine pill and laid on the couch. DH went out to workout and I stayed on the couch for a bit and then went up to bed because my headache just wasn't going away. I was finally able to go to sleep in my bed and my headache eased up. I had to get up to use the bathroom at least 3 times (drank water yesterday) during the night and then woke frequently but dreamed a lot when I was sleeping. It was a weird night. I slept in some this morning. I feel okay this morning but can feel the migraine lurking. My neck is not happy so it will be back later i'm sure. I sure hope not though as there is a parade that I want to go tonight.

It smells like rain outside but i'm not sure if we're supposed to get any or not. I'm going to work on homework until I find out what time i'm supposed to head to my friends house to try out makeup looks for the Ball on Friday. I need to study math today too. I also need to check my list again and see if there's anything I can order online or if i'm done with some of the kids. I'm thinking we may be done with Eli and DD's gifts and just need to figure out DS and then stocking stuffers. I don't want to go crazy this year. I also need to get down to Harley today and see if they can order what I want for DH or if they have in it stock, in stock would be fantastic.

Our new elf and llama comes tomorrow so I need to come up with names and draft a letter explaining the change. We are going from 3 to 1 and a llama. haha Wish me luck!

Jane- I hope you have a restful, uneventful day enjoying putting up your tree and relaxing!
Lana- You have time to get the decorating done. Make a list of what still needs to be done so you don't forget anything.
Jody- Sweet of you to make him feel at home, so important during the holidays.
Pam- I'm glad you had a great time and i'm sure no one missed the stuffing, they were probably all just enjoying the day and the company. Maybe next year let someone else host. Have a great time at the party!
Diedra- Stay safe in the storm!

    Enjoy your day!

was awakened at 3:00, alarm went off at dh's job site and he had to call some guys to check out the heating units .. took at least half an hour of phone calls. was awake at 6:00 and couldn't go back to sleep and last night we went to bed at 11:30 sooo short night. took a tylenol for my headache when I woke up. At least it went away.

Have dusted and vaccumed my bedrrom, office and washed main bathroom. washed new mattress covers and bedding for the twin beds - they are out on the clothesline.

DH is off at sil's to install her new fan but missing parts so he just left for town and he says it's not going well. I am with the dog as ds & ddil are back at the hospital again, she has POPPS... something about a rash that happens in 2% of pregnant ladies at the end. She says it's painful and can't sleep... she already went once for that this week... not sure they can give her much. it will go away when she delivers.

My aunt died this week (a 8-9 hour drive from here) and the funeral parlor is tomorrow and Monday with ceremony on Monday at 4:00. My dad (6 hours from their house) doesn't want to drive long distances anymore so usually my sis and bil go with them but they are away for the weekend... so finally one of my brothers offered to go with them... just wasn't right for them not to be able to go. they will be leaving tomorrow morning and coming back either monday night or tuesday am. My bro told me to go meet them and I could've gone with them from there... but... I'd be back only tueaday night - will skip it but I did send my cousins a message.

My mom.... well things have not been going too well, she is still suffering from what she thought was a urinary infection (3 times of antibiotics) and she had a colonoscopy ths week. Her doctor says she got results form bacterial testing and it is not UI, so she will have to see a specialist.. but who knows when? And since she is having pain she is less concentrated than usual. Last week and this week when I called she was very mixed up and forgets alot. Dad says he is glad she will get to see her sisters and brothers while she still remembers them :(

DS just texted they gold ddil to use calamine lotion and cortisone. they will provoke the baby at 39 weeks so for now they will do a stripping... no idea what that is but he will explain it to me later.

Ok will keep moving. This weekend is mostly lots of cleaning up and wrapping. Last night we cooked a humongous chicken and dh deboned it. I am making chicken broth in the crockpot right now. I need to cut some chicken in cubes and freeze for sandwiches for NY's eve buffet.

Hello all! Back home again where it is sunny and cold (was in Syracuse too) and expecting a "wintery mix" tomorrow.

Had a nice Thanksgiving with DSIL, DBIL, nieces, nephews and other family. First time meeting the parents of DNephew's fiancee. They are lovely people, just like their daughter, and my DSIL is very lucky to be getting them as in-laws. Also had the opportunity to visit with DS and DDIL which was very nice.

Didn't do any real shopping yesterday but so far most of the stuff I've ordered has arrived. I have to see what else is needed and organize my "stash" better. I also have to find a day to go to the mall an enjoy the atmosphere and the mussic. We will be taking Buffy for photographs with Santa tomorrow but there won't we time to shop around as dogs can't come in earlier than 7 pm.

So for the rest of the day I plan to do nothing much - certainly nothing that I don't want to do as that is how I observe the Sabbath on Saturday. I have a bunch of cookbooks to look at! and lots of magazines! Maybe some decorating - at least get the wreath on the door!

Faye - so sorry to hear of the loss of your friend
Jane - yes - the big moment is very close!
Lucie - sorry to hear about aunt and mom - hope the doctor's discover what is bothering your mom
Jess - that great cooking smell almost reaches all the way to the mainland;)
Jody - hope you got your decorating done
Pam - hope you and MJ enjoyed the birthday party
Pamela - hope you and Sophia enjoyed your weekend together
Mel - what's bee up with you and K?
Katrina - Glad you have an evacuation plan but hope that the fires stay far away
Diedra - have you googled the recipe?

Snow is starting up again here. Predicting about 7 inches on top of what we have now. So it should double what’s on the ground.

I have been after Dh to bring the big double filing cabinet that is in the basement up to the sunroom. Problem was neither of us could lift it. It is empty but the drawers do not come out. So we rolled it end over end up the stairs. I told him I gave him half help since I could only use one hand to help. But it is now up here. Next we will put it on the rolling stand. I’ll wait to say something about the 7 boxes of files I need brought up.

I have unpacked another two boxes today. One was snowmen for me and the other was Angels I have picked up for step daughter. Of course she still hasn’t given us an address (been asking for over 8 years-long story).

    Good evening!

It's pretty seasonal temp wise...39* now...but we are under an ice storm warning until tomorrow night until 7 pm. We had planned to have family pics done tomorrow, but it doesn't look like that will happen. The photographer just sent me a text asking if we could do it next weekend. H probably isn't coming home next weekend, so we will see. They should be coming out of the woods now since the sun set.

Miss M and I spent all day decorating the downstairs. She was a huge help to me today. She kept telling me to sit down and relax. lol It's all done, including new drapes and valances on the windows and dusted and vac'd, except for the tree. I'd love to get that done tomorrow. I also have to do the tree upstairs. I'm thinking I'll just get a little tree for the bedroom because I usually stack gifts in there and won't have enough room for all of it. I made bows for my lanterns today, too. They look so cute!

I showered around 4, and am working on dinner prep now. I'm making crescent chicken, so the chicken is baking now and then I can add it to the crescent rolls. We'll have mashed potatoes and green beans on the side.

That's about it for here! Have a blessed evening! Stay safe in whatever weather you are dealing with tonight and tomorrow!

    Good morning to you all.
Day 2 of decorating the house and tree. I had to finish up last night as I was tired. DH and I watched Noelle on Disney+ I really enjoyed it.
It is cool here today so I am hoping to get the rest of the house done and all the totes put away, DSIL is meant to be coming over mid morning to chat about the latest with their father.
I need to organise something for work lunch tomorrow but not Tuesday as DH has his biopsy and I will be with him.

Better get moving if I am to get things done today.

Hello. It sounds like everyone is busily decorating. How fun! Dsil put up the tree on Thursday and decorated yesterday. We are enjoying nonstop Christmas music & movies.

I can't shake my cold. It gets better and then not. I went to Walmart earlier today to fill a prescription and stock up on more cold meds. Went to Michael's afterward. Lots of people out shopping, but I just relaxed and got what I needed and came home. At Michael's one woman who wasn't even in line tried to force me out of the way while my cashier was ringing up my stuff, but my cashier chased her away and she cut someone else off. The customer just let her go first. Sheesh!

I told dh we are having leftovers again tonight. He didn't look very happy. I said whatever doesn't get finished tonight is getting tossed, and he agreed.

    Have a good night!

I still have a stupid headache. I ordered more Christmas gifts this morning and updated my list. I still need to go to Harley, guess I will have to do it one afternoon this week after I get off work. Or tomorrow if they are open. I headed up to my friend's and we went to the PX. We each got a sample of the same foundation in our correct shade and the woman gave us a sample of a moisturizer. I purchased nail polish and a lip glass from L'Oreal Paris. We grabbed coffee and then went back to her house to start playing with makeup. She tried 3 or 4 different looks and we settled on one and then I applied it to the other eye. It is easy enough so she just lent me the makeup to do it myself. Easier for both of us so she doesn't have to try to come to the hotel and I don't have to try to find time to go up there before the Ball. I would have to go up early in the day and it would be half gone by the time of the event. The lip gloss I bought did not work at all. It was quite sticky and was all over my teeth and it was way too bold. I don't think I can return it so i'm just stuck with it. I'll find something that will work in my stash of lip colors. I should go play with what I have while I have the eye makeup on still.

I came home and put peppermint in my diffuser to try to help with this headache and I should be working on homework. I uploaded my background clearance to my school website. I think i'll run upstairs and try some lip colors quickly and then heat up some noodles and work.

Lucie- Sorry to hear about your aunt. Stripping the membranes is when the doctor goes in and "sweeps" the cervix with their fingers to encourage the cervix to start opening to promote labor. I had it done with all of my children. Sometimes it work and sometimes it doesn't.
Faye- So sorry to hear about your friend.
Debbie- Glad you had a great time in Syracuse!
Diedra- You should have had those boys move it when they did the other piece of furniture a couple weeks ago. LOL
Lisa- Sweet of M! Your dinner sounds delicious, i'm coming to your house.
Katrina- Thinking of you and sending you strength! Baby steps, one minute at a time if need be. We are with you.
Deb- People like that really rub me the wrong way. I'm glad your cashier gave her what for. It's people like the one that let her cut that enable the crazies. I think everyone in my house is already tired of my answer of leftovers, even though i'm the only one that has been eating them.

It is cold here. After DSIL left I cleaned up a little, vacuumed and just pottered for a while. tried to have a nap but it has turned cold here. Had a warm bath instead.
DH has roast pork and veggies in the oven, smell divine. I realised that we snacked with coffee with DSIL but had no lunch, no wonder we are hungry.
Looking forward to jumping into bed tonight and snuggling under the covers. Hope to read a few pages of my new book.

Hoping that you all have a great night.
