I can hardly believe that April is just about over. I have a lot of catching up to do. Track and school activities are going to start winding down soon which frees up more time at home. :)

Personal:
  • Keep up with drinking water.
  • Keep up with exercise 5 days.
  • Keep up with vitamins.
  • Spend time reading.
  • Finish up research on Catherine.
Household:
  • Pack away winter clothes and take out summer clothes. Done
  • Weed flower beds.
  • Grocery Shopping Done
  • Plan Menu. Done
  • Clean Bathrooms. Done
  • Vacuum/Sweep/Dust Mop/Dust 1st and 2nd floor. Done
  • Shred Paper. Done
  • Digital Photo Decluttering - 15 mins. a day
  • FlyLady: Living Room, Dining Room, Hall: Vacuum, Dust and declutter; Done
    • Front Porch: Sweep Done
  • Write out Bills.
  • Write out what worked/didn’t work for April Done
Still to Do:
  • Dig up bulbs and move to other garden bed.
  • Drop off items for donations.

The four weeks leading into Easter were super busy with shopping for 2 spring formals, after school activities and 2 different play practices. The formals and play practices were new this year. The two Spring Formals were held the first two weekends in April.

What worked:

  • Menu planning helped.
  • Having a weekly cleaning routine helped me not feel so guilty if I missed a session.
  • Not feeling obligated to host Easter helped to deal with the stress level of constant running around for four consecutive weeks.
  • Keeping an simple dinner menu helped.
  • Buying Easter Candy weeks ahead;
  • Filling Easter eggs the weekend before
  • Planning and working ahead for the one spring formal picture party came in handy when I was in a fender bender two hours before hosting the parents and dates.
What didn’t work:

  • With the activities happening at church, I didn’t plan enough down time from Thursday through Sunday of Holy Week. I need to plan time into those days for enough R & R;

I am finding it harder than I thought to get back into my routine. I would not have though that having a couple of weeks on holidays could affect it so much.
I must remember why I started posting here at the start of the year and get back into the groove. I don't want to unwind all the hard work.
I think I will go back and read the posts from January.

She is my great grandmother. My free time for writing has been eaten up with school activities and sports. :( I keep posting hoping to squeeze some time from somewhere.

I hear you, Katrina. I haven't been on vacation but the extra time required for kids this month and then the phone calls and emails regarding the accident almost three weeks ago has messed up things.

But we will keep on moving little by little. :D

Good luck with the research. As I am gathering and sorting family photos I’ve put together a few clues.

I now want to re visit my family history research too. While visiting where my dad was born I found a few family graves. I am sad that I could not find a few more but I will hopefully go back another time.
I have so many things that I want to do at the moment, not enough time for them all.

Mary, all is not lost. I will get back into the routine very quickly as I am determined to do so. We cannot let little set backs hinder what we have achieved so far this year. I know that the momentum will lessen as the year progresses but we just have to keep the end goal in sight.
