For the life of me, I could SWEAR we've chatted about this before? I searched but couldn't find it!

So as we approach the time of year where we will be scratching our brains for gift ideas, I thought I would resurrect the discussion of consumable gifts. Gifts that will be used up as opposed to adding to someone's pile of stuff!

Sometimes these types of gifts are because the person HAS everything! Or perhaps they are looking to declutter and simplify! Maybe there is an upcoming move! Whatever the reason, here is a nice list to get us started!

What other ideas can you guys come up with?

Great list! You covered a lot! I've done Grocery store, gas, craft stores, quilt shops gift cards along with the ones on your list.
Disney gift cards for those planning a trip.
For elderly folks -spring and or fall cleanup yard service gift certificate, snow plowing service, and cab service.
Forgive me if I repeated what you already listed!

In front of my computer
I'm printing this off for my notebook.

I'm doing the batteries this year. That is so cute.

For the light bulb I found a light bulb with an emergency back up batter that can still be used when the power goes out.

I do a lot of gas gift cards too.

I thought we had a list, too, GrammDeb.

Thanks for starting it again! Lots of good ideas...and some that would be great stocking stuffers!

Cleaning supplies. Years ago when my god daughter and her best friend went away to college I filled a mop bucket up with assorted cleaning supplies for the their dorm room.

To add onto some that were listed above - Flavor syrups and powdered creamers to be paired with coffee/tea.

Now is a good time to stock up on those assorted BBQ sauces, dry rubs and steak sauces to make a BBQ basket.

Minta, I am doing a laundry basket for my mum this year. It is full of cleaning products, cloths, toilet cleaner and even toilet paper. Hope it will save her some $$$ at the supermarket.
