This purse/tote bag pattern has been floating around Facebook and Pinterest for a couple of weeks. Tonight, we were making duct tape ornaments and watching A Christmas Story. I decided to pull out some Christmas fabric and give it a try. Mine is cut and the fabric has been lined with duct tape; but it's not put together yet. I think I am going to give mine i-cord handles to make it more like a gift bag than a purse/tote. I'll post a pic when it is done.

Here is the one from Pinterest:

Is there a link to the instructions? Sounds like my kind of sewing project!
Hope your bag turned out nicely!

Finished two bags. I used red and candy cane striped duct tape and a green fabric with candy canes on it. Very festive. ;) I took pictures and will upload them in a bit.

There is a website, an ebook, a book, some youtubes and a video on Martha Stewart's website. After I made the first one, I felt the instructions in the ebook were a little lacking...made my bag a little rough around the edges, literally. So, I did some more research. The video on Martha's site was pretty good. Then, I found a lady on youtube who made several with a little more detail. I would love to get the book because it has 30 similar patterns. It is called Simply Sublime Bags by Jodi Kahn.

Jodi's blog has a free bag pattern http://simplysublime.typepad.com/

Martha's site has the video with Jodi http://www.marthastewart.com/268380/no-sew-tote-bags

Amazon has a free kindle book from Instructables which is the first one I found. It's the one that didn't have great instructions for the corners, IMO. http://www.amazon.com/Duct-Tape-Bags-ebook/dp/B004JU0I3Q/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1323145872&sr=8-1

Youtube of the T-shirt/duct tape bag Jodi made. The bag I made is sort of a combination of this bag, the bag made on Martha Stewart and the bag from the original ebook. I guess I craft the same way I cook...a little bit of this, a little bit of that. LOL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6yDxK68OZc

Here is the youtube I liked of a lady who got the book and made some of the sublime bags. I guess there is a placemat and pillowcase purse, also.
