Im crazy for the smell of Christmas. I love the cinnamon type fragrances. I have seen lately on pinterest how to simmer fruits, spices etc on your stove to make the smell go through the house.

Anyway I found an apple today that was getting past its time to eat- So I decided to try it out. I cut the apple up, threw in 2 cinnamon sticks, some whole cloves and a few drops of vanilla. I then topped it up with water.

You bring it to boil then leave it on your stove to simmer- adding more water as needed. I put mine in a spare crock pot. Apparently it last a few days and can be topped up with more water as needed.

The house smells wonderful.

You can pretty much do any type of fragrance that appeals- lots of ideas out there.

Love that! I do the same thing! I even made jars of it, using lemons, as favors for Christmas parties.

I have a small crock/fondue pot that came with a larger crock my boss gave me Christmases ago. I have used that to simmer orange slices, cinnamon sticks and cloves. Smells wonderful.
