Mary, thank you. I am looking forward to the break and DH needs to get away from the stress of his father and all that is happening here.
Will be pleased to get back and hit the planning though, still seems like a lot to do here.

I meant to write out a quarterly reflection last week on what worked and didn't work in July, August and September. For the most part, I was happy with the way things went. I set up several medical appointments to take care of me. In August, I was pulled into planning and handling a surprise party that was 3 hours away. It was more work than I expected and as a result, a few school related activities were forgotten and I was called out on them. It was not my finest moment as a mother. Lesson learned. Next summer, I will be more aware of making sure that I take care of my own families' needs before saying "Yes" to meeting other families' needs.

September went over rather well. Losing my job was a blessing in disguise. I was able to help out a lot more with our church festival. I also gained more time when I stepped down from one of the women's groups that I attended. It also helped that I've learned from prior years on how to juggle back to school, college visits and sports better.

Mary, thanks for sharing your last few months with us. You have certainly made the most of the Summer.
From what I see on here I think you are an amazing mother. The reason you "forgot" your families activities are because you were helping some one else, no other reason. Shows what a caring person you are.

Thank you. I had not thought about it from that perspective. :)
