Do you call the evening meal dinner or supper? My parents say supper, I say dinner.

Tonight we are having Spaghetti and Meatballs, fresh bread and maybe green beans.

How about you?

I say dinner but my mom says supper. My grandmother always called lunch dinner and the evening meal supper.

I'm not sure about dinner since we had a later lunch. I might just eat some leftovers before I head out to Paint and Sip.

It's either supper or dinner, they are the same, an evening meal. Lunch is at noon. Brunch is a breakfast and lunch combined.. lol

Dh came home with roasted chicken, a box of mashed potatoes and broccoli salad. I boiled the bones for soup, it's cooling in the refrig so will put that in the freezer in the morning. I have enough leftover chicken for another meal or will make chicken salad sandwiches. I might try making some chicken and dumplings if I get really ambitious over the next few days.

When I was growing up my aunt and uncle called the evening meal supper unless going out to eat. Then it was dinner.
