Can you believe July already?!? With CIJ postings on several blogs and all the threads here, we will surely be getting in the mood!

I need to run to Mt. Vernon for some items, Nashville to see Aunt Imogene and then do stuff here! Will get that darn pool up----I think.

The fireworks were REALLY nice last night for our small town. They lasted 32 minutes. Greg came up there.

    Everybody have a GREAT day!

I need to get a list of CIJ blogs together so I do not forget to read them!

    Good morning, everyone.

I'm not feeling too well this morning. Side effects compliments of the new medicine, I think. Several times in the bathroom already. I am eating a few's one of the suggested ways to deal with it....that, dry toast, or rice. I won't go to Sunday school and will make a decision about church later. DS and family are coming for lunch. I'm making gumbo and have a frozen Hershey's pie for dessert. If I have marshmallows, I'll make Watergate salad, too. It's really a dessert, not a salad, but DS loves it.

DD21 went to help a friend pack up to move to Minnesota to do her internship as a child life specialist. She got in around 11 last night. We were still up when she got in, so I'm dragging a little today because of it. Didn't want to get up. Not much else on our agenda today. Church again tonight.

I plan to go to Monroe on Tuesday and hope to knock out some stocking stuffers. DD25 sent me a text Friday and said Hobby Lobby has Christmas out. She said she doesn't know if she's annoyed or excited! :D She used to not understand my excitement about decorating for the holidays until she and DSIL were married and she has her own home. Funny how stages of life change our prospective of things.

Lana, it was so hot here, we didn't try to go to any of the fireworks. 32 minutes of fireworks is something for a small town. Winnsboro (13 miles, where I work, and nearest main town for shopping here) does a good sized one after the Christmas parade every year.

Jess, so glad you got finished with the job last night.

Diedra, if have some particularly good blogs, please share!

    Have a great day, everyone.

Morning, Pamela. Happy Christmas in July. I have my old world Santa sitting on the piano! He's about 2 feet tall.

I had a Facebook friend post a rather negative comment about Hobby Lobby's Christmas displays to which I commented "Awesome! Just in time for Christmas in July!"

Well I had a whole reply and my phone logged me out. Annoying.
Yesterday we did the usual ans went to my cousins for her sons graduation party. She and I stare step the first 4 grandkids starting with her.
Today DH and I took the dog to a park for a long walk then took her home and got breakfast then a trip to Home Depot.
To kick off CiJ I have Hallmark movies on in the background and I sent my friend Jerry Christmas card I forgot to send at Christmas. She will get a kick out of it I just added Merrcu Christmas in July on the back. I started selling Posh products about 1 1/2 yrs ago and a while.back when DH was out driving Uber I instituted Fri Mask night with Live PD (and often folding exciting) well this one I embraced the holidays and used my Christmas themed wash and moisturize and my 2 summer themed masks. Find the joy where you can.

Off to do some of the usual Sun stuff. Have a great day

    Afternoon, Christmas Peeps!

I did not go to church today. My tummy was hurting me last night after I came to bed. Too much lemonade, I think. I do need to clean up my nails. MJ's son is supposed to take us out to lunch, but she made plans with his daughter and family for late this afternoon. She will drop plans with anyone to be with them and forget to tell whoever she had plans with. I love her, but this gets annoying after awhile, KWIM?

Hotter today than yesterday. I need to run to Aldi's for milk and bread, and maybe eggs.

I have had my shower, and need to get dressed. I have trash to take out sometime. Since I am expecting company later in the week, I suppose I should get the sewing stuff put away. Oh, my Dgd sent me a picture of the sonogram for my DGS. He is ca-ute! Round face. Big eyes. Hair! Baby Bryson! I am in love!

I slept in some this morning and am now sitting here with my coconut coffee thinking about what to do today. I HAVE to finish up my homework because I scheduled my final for tomorrow morning. My presentation is mostly written, just need to add in one more source and clean it up and then record myself presenting it and submit. Then take my 4th test. I would like to go on a ride today on the bike. And i'm pretty positive that we're going to go switch our phone service to Verizon. The Commissary is having a Farmers Market with tastings and rides for the kids and such so I would like to go over there at some point as well. I guess I better get busy on my homework so we can go do everything else! The best part is that I will have my entire evening and not have to rush out to work! Yay!

Lana- Good luck with the pool!
Diedra- I do as well! Sounds like a good thread to get started here on MHH if someone has time.
    Beautiful Pamela!
    Jane- Feel better!
    Shannon- Hallmark movies, yes!
Pam- Lunch and late afternoon are two separate times, both plans could take place. It would annoy me as well if someone did that to me. Sorry about the plans.

I'm reading a Christmas themed book that I just started last night. I'm sure some Hallmark movies will be in my future and I would love to read some blogs as well.

    Enjoy your day!

    IHappy Christmas in July!

It's 88, but feels like 94*. Karla was outside with John for quite awhile, but I brought her in with me a bit ago. It's just too hot for her and her black coat. We are watching qvc. Some cute ideas, but pricey. I love the oversized Santa that is today's special value.

We got up early for mass. Then I made muffins for breakfast. I was finally feeling well, so I went in the attic to look for some Americana stuff. Well, should not have done that! I pulled too much. Sigh. I want to stop at Dollar Tree before dance to see what Americana they have left.

I made baked potato salad for dinner after dance tonight, to go with BBQ ribs and baked beans.

Stay cool my friends, be sure to rest up today!
    Peace and love...

We ran to Mt. Vernon. Ryan and Teigan went.

Have pasta in crockpot for supper.

Allen went to see Aunt Imogene. Teigan and I checked the bluebirds and they have flown the coup. That makes 9 hatched this year. Hope she has another hatching. She is coloring and glittering a LOL doll surprise coloring sheet.

DH and I went for a ride and then went to Verizon. We were there forever! We got new phones and DD a new phone as well. We also found out that his new Gear S3 won't work anymore with the new service because AT&T locks their products so they can't be used even if you own them, which is ridiculous. So we are trading in both of our phones and his watch (that we've only had since February) to get him a new one that will work with Verizon. But we will have unlimited data and service that actually works in our house and at his office and other places that we normally didn't get service before. We will also get gift cards for each of the lines we opened and we will turn around and apply those to the cost of our phones when we get them.

Now i'm going to finish up my homework.

I made it to church this morning, but not Sunday school. Our pastor and his wife are on vacation. The guest preacher was really good. At 5:05 DH asked if I was going to church tonight...I was sound asleep in the recliner...didn't even know it. I jumped up, changed clothes (had on a floppy house dress), and dashed off to church.

DH bought me a Mandolin slicer for anniversary, so I made homemade chips after we got home. I think I'm going to enjoy using it.

Jess, you make me nervous trying to get so much done in one day! lol
Shannon, I'm sure your friend will love getting a CIJ card!
Lisa, be sure and take care of yourself. Remember what your limits are. I love Americana decor. I'm sure yours will look great because you always do such a great job decorating for everything.
Pam, I know that's annoying. Hope your tummy gets better.
Katrina, I can't imagine your Christmas ever being less than you envision. I think you plan ahead for Christmas better than any of us on here.

I'm headed to soak in the tub. I'm still feeling a little off. I'm ready to just feel normal...from my back to this new's beginning to be a little aggravating, but I guess that's the way aging is. Getting old is hard work! :p
