    Hello, everyone.

I'm got up to work on some school work, but when I opened my jump drive to look at it, I realized I had finished it Friday before I left work. I just need to print it off so I can run it off when I get to work. I have papers I need to grade. If I don't find some time to get that done today, I'll need to stay after work and do it.

I had to get up and turn on the air conditioner around midnight last night. Today, the temperature is supposed to fall into the 30s overnight. It's 63 right now and high humidity with rain. It makes my hair "fluffy". lol DGS#2's baseball season is supposed to start tonight. I don't know if the game will be called off or not.

It looks like much of the US is getting some pretty nasty weather. Stay safe out there today.

I hope you all have a great day!

    Aloha!

So far, so good this morning but I can still feel the headache lingering. I really hope it stays in the background today because I am quickly running out of time before my big test and desperately need to study and having a migraine makes that next to impossible. I took a practice writing test yesterday and failed it, 18/40. They give you sentences and you have to pick out the error, if there is one, or pick out the rewritten portion that is correct if there is an error. Sounds easy, but it's really not. Some of these errors are things that I have never really dealt with before and things that we don't deal with on a daily basis or that I have ever dealt with even being a college student writing professional papers. I don't understand why it's that difficult.

Today I will be taking a math practice test first thing to see how that goes and then the writing again after using my study guide a bit. I have my mentor call this morning as well. I need to get to the Commissary, but haven't finished my list or meal plan yet. We are to continue getting rain all week I believe. I didn't get my workout in yesterday because of my migraine so I am hoping to today.

Jane- They have not done an MRI on my ankle and i'm wondering if one is not needed. I'm going to ask on Wednesday when I go back to PT if they think I should revisit my doctor and request an MRI or what. Nice to already have your work done, hope the papers don't take too long to grade.
Lucie- Have fun at your drawing class!
    Faye- Feel better!!

    Enjoy your day!

    Morning all MHHers

I have homemade spaghetti sauce simmering on the stove. It has meatballs and Italian Sausage links in it. Can't wait for dinner tomorrow. It will sit in the refrigerator tonight for the flavors to meld.

Woke up to a very quiet world. We had five inches of beautiful new snow on top of what we received last week. I think where LC22 lives they had over a foot of new snow. Tonight the winds will pick up so it's won't be so nice.

Years ago (3 or 4) I had just gone to bed one night when I heard knocking on my bedroom window. Scared the heck out of me. It kept knocking on and on. I thought I'd call my Dh but figured that would scare away the person that was knocking. So I turned on the camera, pulled the curtain back a bit and snapped a photo with the flash on. Figured that was scare the person. But the knocking went on. So I got brave and looked in the window. My bedroom is half underground so the window is at head height. There was a rabbit digging a hole under on of my plants so the hind legs were hitting the window. Today Dh was looking out side the upstairs window and you can see that the rabbit has come out of his hole to sit outside. They do leave behind little things. So we looked out the window downstairs and you can see a little path the rabbit has made. He/She doesn't go far but just enough for some fresh air. I wonder what generation of rabbit is still using this rabbit hole?

Good morning. It's another gorgeous day here, but it's still cold.

Yesterday dh's podiatrist recommended CBD (cannabis) ointment for the neuropathy pain in his feet. Has anyone heard if the stuff works? Looking online, there are so many different types.

When Dsil & I got home from gymnastics & swimming last night one of the dogs (great dane) had had diarrhea all over his bed, his bum, and the kitchen floor. DH was here at the time and didn't let the dog out until the deed was done, and then he did nothing about it except complain about the smell. He was maybe 10 feet away from the dog. I get so angry with that man...it's a good thing he didn't ask for dessert. Dsil took care of that mess - he wasn't saying anything, but I bet he had plenty of thinking.

I'm still trying to finish my laundry this morning. Hopefully I can get all my bedding washed and do some cleaning in the bedroom. I need to wash up last night's dishes since I didn't get them done before bed. I want to run away and join the circus.

    Have a great day everyone!

    Good afternoon.

I slept in till 8:30 this a.m. And I did not go to sleep till after midnight. I did wake up around 2:15, but went right back to sleep. I am so sleepy. I have to stop drinking tea by 2 p.m. I am getting too old for this.

Nothing going on today; just the usual. I did take the trash out right before noon. Yay for me. Last night I felt as tho I was coming down with a cold. This a.m., I have been sneezing, blowing my nose, and having my eyes water like crazy! This is driving me nuts!

It is warmish out right now, but by rush hour...watch out! Temps will go down and the wind chills will be below zero. I am so over it! SO OVER IT!!!!!

I see where Aldi's has strawberries on sale for 99 cents a box. I may go down there and get some. Dip them in chocolate. Mmmmmm, that sounds so good. Oh rats! They do not go on sale until tomorrow.

Guess I had better call MJ, because I haven't talked to her since Monday. I better block out 30-45 minutes. Lol. She likes to talk on the phone. Have a great day, everyone's! Please stay safe and be blessed!

I am up at at'em! I slept well. I am currently spending time in my kitchen baking, cooking etc. I am thinking Tuesdays are a good day for me to do this. I am making chex mix that didn't get made at Christmas and some homemade granola. I think we will have spaghetti for dinner Spaghetti Carbonara sounds really good'

We got about 2-3 inches of snow last night. It is the heavy wet kind and DH has gone out in stages to shovel. I saw elderly neighbor out clearing the end of his driveway (snowplow plugged it) and sent DH over to help. I am not allowed to lift and it may have embarrassed him if I had gone over. DH came home excited with the results and the opportunity he had to help. Score!

Well, DH is wanting the kitchen to make his lunch. Better get out of his way.

Now, now Pam, I Don't Believe one bit that MJ is the talker between you two ;)

Class was nice, working on perspective. Gastro appointment went ok but he is retiring in December and not recommending me to anyone else. My regular doctor will have to take the relay and if he wants me to see a specialist he will have to put in a referral. Ah well, anyways I see him 5 minutes every year so it's not really a big help.

Deb- I have heard great things about CBD oil. One of the massage therapist recommended it to me months ago when I had a massage. I'm not sure it's allowed on base so I haven't gotten any. I have heard it recommended for all sorts of things and have heard that it works great.

I have gotten 3 loads of laundry folded, one from yesterday and two that I washed and dried this morning. Now i'm getting ready to start on this math practice test. I think I won't do the timed version since my program mentor is going to call in less than an hour. There is no way to pause the test and I really just want to know how many I get right anyway. I'll take the timed one later to make sure I can accomplish everything within the time.

DS is home from school today, said he was throwing up and not feeling well. I told him to set an alarm and take a nap and then get up and see how he feels because he can always go to school late. Seems he still doesn't feel well enough to attempt to go to school. He's going to end up losing this job because of his stupidity. If he can't handle working late nights and going to school then we will make him quit. He's going to have to act like an adult if he wants to be treated like one. Period! It's all psychological. Every time someone else doesn't feel well in our house, then he ends up sick. I was not feeling well yesterday and now he's not well today. I could have predicted it. He is sick more than anyone I know.

    I better get to work!

Deb, my friend uses CBD oil for her trigeminal nerve pain. It was recommended by a physician at Cleveland clinic. She has tried all the interventions including a nerve block with no relief. The CBD oil is working for her. she's been on it for about a year now and has avoided having surgery because of it. That being said she is not always totally pain free but even on the worst days it is much more manageable. As far as side effects, she has a occasional rash that is hardly noticeable. I haven't tried it but have been thinking about it for my neck and back pain.

    Good morning my friends,
A lovely day here after a horrible day yesterday. It was windy ll day yesterday and a dust storm covered our city all afternoon. There was a power black out at work for about an hour so that made things difficult. It was still blowing when I left work at 6.30 last night.

A bit on the list for me today, need to write a grocery list for tomorrow and get ready fir DrillDance training tonight. Would love to get a bit more decluttering done this week so hope to get onto that today. Almost finished a craft project too. Dinner tonight will be hamsteaks, pineapple and green beans and will make that before heading off to training.

Better get moving, the washing machine is beeping.
    take care, speak soon.

    Good evening!

Another snow day here in western PA. It's been snowing, sleeting and raining since last night. Temps are dropping, so travel tonight will be even worse. I guess gusty, cold wind is next on the weather menu with more snow. I'm nots sure we will have school tomorrow if they are accurate.

I took advantage of the day and dusted and vacuumed the house. I scrubbed fooors, washed throw rugs, cleaned the bathroom, did M's bedding, cleaned in the basement entry, threw out some things that needed pitched.

J just left for the farm. He has to plow them out and take care of the animals. He will bring his dad's plow down and do our drive way too. We will be eating dinner late.

Not too much going on otherwise. We went to Rocky Gap Casino and resort over the weekend for a short getaway. It was my first time at a casino. We got massages on Saturday too. Very nice time together.

Need to catch up with you all...think of you often!

    Afternoon!

Didn't do great on the math practice test, a lot harder than I thought it would be. I have been studying all afternoon since. I studied the written test portion and have been studying math. I just made flash cards for the formulas I need to memorize and have been working some practice problems from my study guide. I think i'm going to do another written practice test here shortly. I need to get a workout in and get to the Commissary. I'll do the practice test and then decide what to do.

    Katrina- Dinner sounds good!
Lisa- Glad you had a nice relaxing time this weekend!

Jess, that is a lot of study....has the headache gone.
Have decluttered and lined my bedside drawers. Not a lot in there now so am pleased. Got rid of a folder full of shop receipts in case any thing needed returning, all gone now. Just popped to the shop and got bread, milk, meat for sandwiches. Got a lip balm and mascara that was 1/2 price so will pop those in DD's stocking. they also had food colouring and peppermint extract on sale so got a few of those for the baking cupboard. Am planning on doing a lot more baking this year so will stock up but make sure I use it up.
Lunch time now and then a bit more work.

    Hi, everyone.

When I got home from work, I had to make something to take for a meeting I had tonight that was potluck. I make dirty rice and angel food cake. I was given my first retirement gift...token type stuff with a poem attached about how each connected to retirement (i.e.a marble to replace all the ones you lost). DGS#1 called almost as soon as I got home and wanted to know if I was in the bed yet. He wanted me to come over because he had gotten a new piano book and wanted to play some songs for me. Made this Nana happy!

I have duty tomorrow morning...I better head off to bed.

    Hugs to you all.

O.M.G.!!! My brain is going to explode! I did go grocery shopping, but did not workout. :( I have continued studying math, DH has helped me when needed. I saved my progress on my second practice math test and will finish it tomorrow. I will do nothing but practice tests tomorrow and study my formula flashcards. I'm so stinkin nervous about these tests. I keep hoping that they won't be as bad as the practice tests and that i'll do just fine like I always do...but I just don't know this time. I think of some of the teachers i've come across over the years and how surprised I have been that they were actually teachers because of their stupidity and now i'm studying for this super hard test and wondering how in the world they ever passed it to become teachers. haha

I'm heading to a nice hot bath and then bed.

Jess, I am sure that you will be fine.
Home from training, it was a good one. We are still in the learning phase of one of our routines and it is slow going. I am not choreographing this one and it is frustrating how little we are advancing. Any way we will get there in the end. Am having dinner, than a shower and bed.
    Night all.
