Yes another Turkey day as rolled up to us like a frozen turkey should. What are you thinking about to help your Thanksgiving Celebration be stressless?

I have my menu and shopping list ready. I'm not one to change the menu much so that's easy for me. I find decorating the table is harder.

We're not making Thanksgiving plans until after Labor Day. If my DKS get their house, we may have Thanksgiving there, or we may have it at DMIL's new house in Idaho, or we may go back to Vegas to see my brothers, or DH and I have talked about going back to the Midwest to see my mother.

Wow, lots of ideas to do for Thanksgiving. Will be fun to see what you decide to do.

I'm planning my decorations indoors and out. My fall leaves tableware is used from August through Thanksgiving so that part is easier. I did get some new ideas for veggie trays and such so I hope to incorporate it this year. We should have a brand new granddaughter that week so it promises to be a crazy but exciting one.

You will be so busy once the grand baby arrives. Good that you are planning things out now.

We always spend Thanksgiving with my inlaws...this year my MIL is having major work done on her house and BIL/SIL just moved into a new house and plan to redo the kitchen, so I'm guessing that we're hosting this year...of course, my MIL won't commit to that, so I've requested 2 weeks notice. In the meantime, I'll just assume its a go! ;)

Plans for this year, as always until we have our own house and kids, are to go to my DH's grandparent's houses (yes, both). We spend the Sunday before Thanksgiving at his grandparent's house, and then go to his Oma's (who lives four houses away) on the actual day. We see my parents a few times during December, so we choose to spend Thanksgiving parties with his family.

I will be buying these this year, though other than the egg-carrier, not sure what else to make yet: http://www.ltdcommodities.com/Holid...e-Platter/prod410100.jmp?productId=prod410100

I do have dips/spreads I can put in the 3-section serving platter ... but we did something similar last year. It did go over well, might be good to do it again.

We always go to my family for Thanksgiving. I'm going to request that I take over more of the cooking this year instead of leaving the bulk to my Aunt.

My In-Laws usually have a get together but on the actual day. They always request lasagna and I'll probably make a desert as well.

One thing I want to do is decorate my house, it doesn't matter to me that no one is coming over I like the look of it myself. I have some ideas, just need to figure out how to implement them.
