Wrapping Parties- 2014

maurice.cowell- That's exactly why we started the wrapping parties a few years ago.

Too many of us were wrapping that last precious week before Christmas- when we should be relishing the magic of Christmas.

And even Christmas Eve- the WORST!

We were tired of doing that. Glad you are joining us!

Our "Wrapping Parties": I LOVE THEM! OK, OK…. I haven't actually done any wrapping yet……. But I HAVE been with everybody in spirit! AND…. our next "Wrapping Party" will be…. the 10th!!!!! Which means…. in Grand Old Wrapping Party Tradition….. that it CAN be this weekend! It can be today! It can be…. tomorrow! (The 10th)!!!! It can be "veterans Day". It is just US…. doing our wrapping….. BEFORE Christmas Eve!!!!!!

I think that I will begin wrapping….. today!!!!!

I do have gifts to wrap!!! I do have paper and ribbons. How about you?

I bought some family gifts at a craft show a couple weeks ago- they are ready for wrapping!

Helloooo……. AnnieCaus! I am here! I am WRAPPING!

I am also DECORATING!!!! Mostly with lights. Lights and garlands. (Artifical garlands… but…. come on! Those "real" pine branches and garlands…. just do NOT last…. in "heated houses".) In "colonial times…. in freezing cold houses…. they probably didn't dry out so quickly! ALSO…. they probably didn't decorate as early as we do!!!!

So…. I LIKE wrapped presents! I think that they are…. great decorations!

I just had some leftovers for dinner…. topped off with PECAN PIE! Pecan Pie (NOT the gooey, too-sweet kind of pecan pie)…. is my new favorite thing in the world!!!!!

I am sitting in the-dining-room-family room…. with all the strings of white Christmas lights (on garlands) plugged in. I really like it!!!!!

I am going to do some more wrapping now. (I include "EVERYTHING CHRISTMAS-PREP" into the meaning of "wrapping"). We have a lot of freedom here, at our Magical Holiday Home, to put our own interpretations" on words. We are quite flexible, that way!

I've kept up the wrapping all weekend. I have two books left to wrap plus some coffee cups (four sets) that I'll use for LC's gifts. Oops I'd better get them off the kitchen table before on of them arrives in the morning. Forgot about that. I'll be getting up early.
