Serving Idea

Take a HUGE pumpkin.....Take a drill.....drill holes all over the pumpkin.....insert suckers into the holes for a lollipop covered pumpkin....self service with a pumpkin twist!!

What are some other ideas for serving Halloween treats or items creatively?

Prop small plastic spiders and rats up on the bowls.

Put food names (gory or spooky) near the plate.

Serving veggie platters:

Halloween candy display using apothecary style vases.

Make creepy ice-cubes by inserting plastic spiders or flies in them or by coloring them green.

Fill with water and freeze a 'doctor' plastic glove to put it the punch for ice.

Use miniature pumpkins as dip bowls

A table display:

Serve chips & dips in black plastic cauldrons.

Another display table (I love the bats behind the table!!) and the fact that she has soup, pies & desserts!

I like the idea of putting a baby monitor inside a jack o lantern on the porch and the bowl of treats beside it. When trick or treaters start to take some you could say-'Happy halloween' or 'not too much' , 'make sure to brush your teeth after that!' and watch them jump-heehee!

Great ideas!

Lucie - I especially like the the veggie tray ones...if THAT doesn't get my boys to eat their veggies, NOTHING will!

Jackfrosty - what devilish fun to repurpose our baby monitor! I can see everyone at my house arguing over WHO gets to spook the trick or treaters!

Ginger - that lollipop holder would be so cute!
