I thought share an idea I am going to make note of in my notebook for next year and what I actually did this year that was really simple.
(First- I must say my husband and I are not big gift exchangers for holidays other than Christmas(actually we only do stockings for each other with a $ limit BUT...). A homemade card is usually all we do for anniversary, birthdays and such. SO these ideas are simple but thoughtful KWIM?)
This year - I took a picture of my almost 3yoDD standing in my husbands work shoes, printed it and made a little card she signed that said "No One Can Fill Your Shoes Daddy!" Then she colored and scribbled on it. It was super cute and not very time consuming and she loved getting her pic taken in the shoes and walking around in them!
Now for the idea box-- I saw this in the June 2008 issue of Family Fun magazine- it was a reader write in tip on pg 33.
Make an award certificate that says something like "Top POP Award" then give them things like POPtarts, a packet of microwave POPcorn, a 2L bottle of soda POP, a POPsicle ( the cheap tube kind- that could be unfrozen), a tootsie POP sucker and anything else like that you can think of. You could make up a cute little rhyme for each item such as You're cool as a POPsicle ( for the freezy pop) etc..
Just thought I would share as I was updating my June idea files!
