La La Land
My neighbor is having a halloween party this year. The past few yrs we have had a cook out and then a group of us walk and trick or treat togehter. Well this year she is doing it w/ a Alice in Wonderland theme. I know her and her girls will be Alice, Mad hatter and prob. queen of hearts. I am not sure how much I will dress up and honestly am not sure if I can talk the boys into costumes based on that theme either. Any ideas/suggestions? Preferibly nothing expensive or requires sowing either... not to make it any harder...
Thanks

Maybe you could be the Cheshire Cat, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, the White Rabbit, Jack/Knave of Hearts...sorry, that's all I can remember off hand.

Some pics of some homemade costumes for Alice in Wonderland.

Mad Hatter
"This homemade costume can be made easily with a shuffle to your local thrift store. Sight for brightly colored and oddly patterned pants and scarves. Add a bright colored shirt and a shaded purple jacket to the costume, and a gargantuan hat is essential. Tie a scarf around your neck and the hat. Stick some feathers, a playing card, and a hat pin in the scarf and your Halloween costume is complete. "

Lucie - You are always such a wealth of information...I really appreciate you!

Shannon - I'm going to leave it to these ladies as I'm not a big AIW fan so I'm not much help!

Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum would be fairly easy to make also, yes a little sewing but really not that much would really just be pant legs. I will tell you that my glue gun is almost as good friend as my sewing machine.

For pants striped material Lots of it Hoola-hoops sew up the legs hot glue material around hoola-hoop for waist, add yellow shirt a pair of suspenders and a airplane hat and their you go.
