I am so happy to see all the activity of crafting during our first week! :elf:
And several joined in thinking of what they would like to do.

I actually finished a couple scarfs, 10 burp rags, 9 small bibs, 1 bigger bib and 7 washcloths.

Today I am hoping to finish the other 7 burp rags (just have to finish the closure and topstitch), sew together 8 bigger bibs and top stitch-they are cut out.

Have some cloth diapers to try some burp rags with. Never used those before. Pam does.

Went to this place at Nashville yesterday that sells tutus, bloomers, a zillion bows and such and I was looking for scrap ribbon but she said she didn't sell it but should. So she took my name and numbers and is suppose to get it together, set and price and call. Will see. Be nice for taggy blankets, burp cloths and such. Hope she follows thru with it.

This week I will work on the baby stuff and probably scarfs at work. (lunch)

What is on your list for the week?

I am planning to sort through my UFOs and prepare to begin sewing.

I would also like to go through my Pinterest boards and start planning what will be gifts for others. This will most likely be a homemade Christmas this year.

Fluttering happily in the clouds!!
This week, I will concentrate on 3 things:

Get out the sewing machine one night and:
....sewing the broken ankle zip closed on DD's tracksuit bottoms and
.... sew the final 4 inches closed on 1 crayon roll

Cross stitch the holly leaves decoration to try to finish that.

I may also sew on the button I have to a 2nd crayon roll, and find a button to sew on to the 3rd roll, and then try to do those final 2 seams also. I think I planned the rolls 3 years ago for Christmas 2011, got them cut for '12, and most of the sewing done in early '13.

WingedOne, I remember you making the crayon rolls. You are really working on the cross stitch!

Jampss, I just did some baby washcloths out of flannel and 1 with minky mink. Pam always talked about doing them. I will be watching your list to see what gets marked off!

MissJodee, I have some UFOs also. I have a broad with gift ideals on pinterest and then just under sewing some items I would like to make sometime.

I did finish all the burp rags and bibs this week-end. I would like to try some on the prefolded diapers for burp rags and then I have a quilt to finish and this one with 2 different fireman material I would like to do. Will see.

Those sound cute and soft! Well, I start off doing stuff and marking off ... then fall off the wagon. LOL

I wanted to make a man's winter cap, crochet. That's why I have so many listed. I looked at free patterns on Lion's Brand site. But none of them really grab me and say, This is the one for DH. He always looks like he's 10 yrs old in a hat!!

Any crochet hat ideas?

On Thursday I am off to my mums to sew bunting for DDs birthday. I also have a nice green polka dot piece of fabric that needs edging for use as a table cloth.

Still crocheting rugs.

Everyone is busy creating this week! Lana, that is a lot of sewing that you accomplished.

I don't remember if I mentioned last week that I am going to knit something for each of my nieces and sister in-laws (5) for Christmas. We don't exchange gifts, but a year ago Christmas I made them all a monogrammed keychain and they loved them, and I didn't plan ahead this last Christmas and didn't do anything. I decided to knit cowls, they are simple and knit quickly. I finished the first one, so now I need to choose another pattern and start on the next.

Katrina, DD will love it!

Carol, I am sure your family will love the cowls.

People do seem to like the homemade.

Going to try to post a picture here of the baby items in the album. My blog isn't letting me put pictures up. Saying something about a browser. I am not good at that stuff!

Lana, I just looked at your pictures. The burps and cloths look great! And the quilt is adorable, looks like it's comfy.

I have made burp cloths from diapers for the shop. There is a big difference in the quality of diapers. I found that for the burp cloths I liked the premium gerber ones. They are more expensive, but they look a lot nicer after being washed than the regular cloth diapers do. Here, I could only find them at Target and Babies R Us.

Bunting done, I will try and post a photo. We ended up with 8 varying lengths so it should be nice in the yard. I have spray painted some clay pots, one in yellow, one in pink, one in blue and they will hold the knives, forks and spoons. I have a little green bucket for the napkins.

Keep on crafting

Mending

Not a UFO, but finally got to mending a hole in DS10 sweatshirt, a hole in one of my comfy sleep pants and the lace edging on DD21 black skirt. They have been NEEDING mending. Sigh .... but finally did it!

I'm looking at trying to make sweater boots. You take an old skiing sweater from thrift store, but off arms and sew or hot glue to a pair of old comfy thrift store orthopedic shoes! I have the sweater ... and the shoes ... now to make.

Thanks!

Jampss I'd love to see those sweater shoes!
I think ... think ... it'll work. I will hot glue around.

Otherwise, I am working on the Warm Up America blanket ... making some 7"x9" squares. Or ... rectangles.

2 quilts done with binding on them and folded for delivery.

1 has to be evened up and the binding sewn.

I am working on cutting points for one. She told me to use 2" ones but that is small. I think I am going with 4". It is a bigger quilt.

The other one I am not sure how I will do it.
