December 2023 Decluttering club

Usually December is not a decluttering month for me, but with not hosting (at least I don't think so ), I will go through a few things
This week's haul:

• 3 stuffed toys
• 1 pj bottom
• 1 cup
• 10 children's books (will be given back to the free-library)
• 1 child bracelet
• 2 fabric pouches
• 1 doll
• 1 sesame street krank radio
• 6 dvds (6 seasons of walking dead, dniece wants them, yay!)

I'll be having a pick up from the Vietnam Vets on Wednesday. I have three bags full of clothing household, etc. and two bags of books that I have to put in something sturdier. Also a piece of luggage that Josh didn't want.

Finally got that pesky pencil tree to the thrift shop today. Had clothes, fabric, other craft supplies, movies and dvds too.

3 t-shirts, 1 pair of socks, one home made gnome that I didn't like.

There are 2 brothers that I work that also have a small church they are trying to build.
I asked them if they needed any Christmas decorations for the church and they said, "Yes!"

I parted with:
* Lighted Garland
* 2 wreaths

I plan on giving them another wreath and a small "music themed" Christmas tree.
I also spotted some more garland.

Some of this was my parents and it's nice to know it will be used and displayed.

This morning I added an elf (a door hugger) to the donation box and dd will be taking the 3 vintage elves and ladder.

However, the walking dead dvd's I had taken to dniece are back here. SIL.... pfffff

Have a box for the thrift store ready to go. Have the Grinch items off the tree and will take a photo to put on Marketplace in case anyone already knows their theme for 2024 will be rather Grinchy.

I don't normally declutter too much in December. One of my goals for 2024 is to have 100 items leave the house.
Today I added a snowman candle and 3 tree decorations to the to go pile.

Have one of my Santa figures in the donate box. I had a place for it in the last house. Have not found a good place for it here so off it goes.

1 sweater, 1 game (ds took to his house.... was hoping he'd take more but ... not for now)

8 plates went home with LC1 and her son took home a bag of very small screw drivers. One of the Christmas toys we gave him needed some screws needed to be tightened. He will put those screw drivers in the tool kit we gave him for his birthday.

Cleaned my purse out and threw alot of notes and receipts out. Also cleaned out a notebook and threw papers away.

I spent the last 2 days cleaning out and reorganizing the Master Closet, Bathroom and Bedroom. So far we willed up 1 1/2 trash bags for donations and 2 bags for trash. Tomorrow I am going through the night stand drawers and my dresser drawers.

I've done like last year and taken from posts throughout the year what got decluttered per month... geez a good thing I've been decluttering for awhile with all that is going out. uh-oh won't post all, so will have to do in a few different messages.

January 2023

• Papers from Halloween notebook + some Halloween patterns (still have a box of Halloween patterns).
• Papers from work desk
• 4 old pens
• 2 baby spoons
• More Papers from file cabinet
• 2 cardboad boxes that I had kept for crafts
• Will be given to my niece: 6 pillowcases, sticky notepad of New York, 1 frame, 1 set of fairy lights, 1 bag of pastel crayons, 1 beautiful jar, 1 wood canvas
• 3 small metal buckets brand new to put crayons will be given to ddil for the grandkids
• Apx 30 business cards
• 1 beautiful pot brought from mom but no place so ddil took it... in-and-out
• 1 toaster
• 2 sets of curtains (4 panels)
• 1 tablecloth
• Old wallet / old cards / old receipts
• 1 toy hat
• 2 plastic shelves that are all crooked.. dh made new ones out of wood
• 1 Christmas projector we had brought from mom's (not working well)

February 2023

March 2023

• Finally mil's cane was sold last week

May 2023

November 2023

• Elliptical is finally out of here. DDIL wanted it but dh would not take it over saying they have already too much stuff in their house. told him it's either that or she buys a new one full price... I gave her the one I had. Never used it but had it for free too.
  
  Small vaccum (from my parents that was here), sold on Marketplace but not sure it won't come back as the lady was saying tube was too short? duh it's like that. It's been 5 days... so crossing my fingers it's not coming back.
