What's on your decor wishlist this year?

I just bought my 9ft. prelit tree for our formal living room. I've wanted one for a long time! One thing checked off the list!!

Here's my wishlist:
LED tree lights. They're supposed to last so much longer than regular lights.
Lighted Wreath for outside, under the eaves above the front door.
Gingerbread boy curtains for my kitchen and nook.
Hall tree for overflow guest coats (technically not 'decor', but it would be nice!)
Pretty garland for stair railings, that my kids won't pick apart/break!
Gorgeous, large poinsettia for hearth

I too would love gingerbread curtains. I also miss having a fireplace. A new place for the stockings would be cool.

I'd really like to make a huge wooden banner for the front of the house to hang under the upstairs window that says 'believe' or something equally as magical.
I'd love a front porch to decorate(if you 're gonna dream-dream big) but a porch-sitter for my side step would make me happy for now!
I'd like my window boxes back(they were rotten this spring)and filled with something grand.
plain white wooden nativity for outside.
Grown-up nativity for inside(no touching kids!or cats) on second thought-better wait a few years on this one!
Heirloom tree skirt
Christmas dishes.

Like other here, I really want a fireplace! We were planning to have one installed (gas) this month, in time for the season, but have had trouble getting quotes. But I'm not giving up hope yet!

My other wishes are...
potted, lit porch trees
Framed christmas pictures to replace my regular artwork
Red dishes
New grapevine reindeer (saw one I reallllly liked at Target) for front yard
Window candles (found some I like in Plow and Hearth catalog for about $15 each)
New stockings with names embroidered (found ones I love in Pottery Barn catalog)
Really nice looking artificial tree for front room

I'm sure there's lots more that I don't even know I want yet!!!

For the past 13 years we have lived in a very rural area with expensive electricity so we never decorated the outside of the house.

Now I'm in town and I've told my husband (who's 100% behind me!) that we are going to decorate like Tim Allen (from ToolTime) from here on out!

I've already purchased lights for the house and some cute snowmen for lighting/lining the driveway. I hope to get a HUGE inflatable snowman for the front yard at an after Christmas sale. But before the season is here I want to get some candles or wreaths for the windows on the front of the house. We have to check our nativity scene and see if it still works, if not then I'll be looking to replace that also.

Ahhh, I just feel giddy in anticipation of it all!!!!

my wish list: I would like a fireplace to decorate,. I live in an apartment but would love one. Please...... :skate:

Me too. I did however a few years ago bought a small mantle from ABC Distributing which sits in my bedroom. It's as close to a real fireplace as I'm going to have. :sleigh:

Oh, that's a great idea, Cathymac! I will try to remember to take pictures, AND ask my hubby to help me post them. Thanks for the reminder!

I just love coming here for the encouragement! Thanks!
