Early Gift for kids: The white noise machine

DS is a light sleeper and tends to get woken up by our water filter which kicks on in the wee morning hours in the basement under his room. I have a white noise machine in my room (which saved me from DH's snoring) that I just love. DS loves it too. One for him was going to go under the tree but it occurred to me that might just come in handy on Christmas Eve since every little noise Santa makes tends to echo through our house (no carpeting). Gave it to him last night and this morning he is still sleeping, despite being woken up twice. Hoping it blocks the sounds of footsteps that Sherlock DD might hear also!

The one I have is the Marpac Sleepmate and I just love it! Fingers crossed Santa can get through this undetected!!

Never heard of this but if it works it's great. In summer we put the fan in the room and we don't hear a thing!

I run a fan year around. In the winter I sometimes turn it to blow against the wall instead of into the room. I need to look into this white noise machine.
