rep was also something we started to play w/ on the other board and it became like a game. You have to usually give rep. to a certain number of people before replying to their thread. You make a comment about the thread or just in general. To read any that you have written go to your user CP and scroll down to the bottom.
It wouldn't let me do yours so I tried Diedra and hit a wrong button so all it says is "Its" oops. LOL
