I've spent time revamping my weekly list to incorporate my 2024 goals. I made a list of all the things I want to complete and then put them into categories. Then I broke those goals down into small, achievable steps. This list should help me to move forward after an exhausting day at work.

Daily:
  • Exercise
  • Prayer
  • Calendar Review of Appointments/Meetings
  • Read 12 pages a day
  • Writing
  • Prep coffee for the next day.
  • Prep lunch for the next day.
  • Prep breakfast for the next day.

Weekly:
  • Plan outfits for this week.
  • Plan the menu for this week.
  • Prep meals for this week.
  • Dust/Vacuum/Mop.
  • Pay Bills.
  • Do Laundry.
  • Buy Groceries.
  • Read a book this week. [3 of 5 weeks to complete]
  • Answer one autobiographical question this week.
  • Identify one incomplete craft project or one project waiting to be started, estimate time needed to complete and begin project.
  • Write an “End of Last Week” Reflection.
Monthly: Bedroom
  • Dust.
  • Vacuum.
  • Clean Windows.
  • Shred papers.
  • Declutter for 15 minutes
  • Make a “Spruce Up” list.

New Habit: Research 15 minutes daily or the equivalent of that in a week until February 10th.

January Christmas Prep: Make Gift Lists
  • Make a list of people that I want to buy a gift for this year.
  • Make a list of gift ideas for those people.
  • Make a list of stocking stuffer ideas.
  • Make a list of gift ideas for myself.

I love this idea . Just to put some time aside to really think of this part of Christmas prep will make all the difference.
I can really relate to this. I am also impressed that you are working on it so early. It won't hurt to have this organised and put away well ahead of time.

I'll be back to work at some point this week, whether it is Tuesday or Wednesday. We've had several snow days lately. I have spent most of the weekend relaxing, doing things here and there. Rest is way underrated. LOL I have also found that transferring my list from here to the notes on my phone is quite helpful. I love checking those boxes off in my notes. I have made sure to do that for this week!

Daily Habits: ** need to work on
Water- (Try to at least drink my 30oz tumbler during the week at work)
Meds- Take all my meds; sometimes I forget two of my morning pills because I need to take them after I eat and i'm already at school
**Moisturize twice a day- a.m. and p.m.- i'm good in the a.m., need to work on p.m.
**Foot cream before bed
**Face wash a.m. and p.m.

Weekly:
Wash sheets
Clean bathrooms
Run coffee pot through dishwasher
Meal planning/grocery shopping
Vacuum stairs/carpeted floors

January Dates of Importance:
[X] Hair appt- January 18th
[X] Work Christmas party- January 19th
[X] Drill Meet- January 20th
Dental cleanings- January 25th
Mom's Birthday- January 31st

January Goals:
Go through my clothing and purge
Clean up guest room- DONE
Go with DD to her Presidential Scholarship luncheon and interview (for support)
Help with the cooking at least 2 times a week
Start and be consistent with Yoga with Adriene challenge- 13 days so far!- Got a little behind this week, but will catch up.
**Start working on cutting sugar- Will implement in earnest this week!

Extras:
Find a cheap/free way to surprise and delight my class this month

This week:
[ ] Make ahead breakfast for work: overnight oats, breakfast sandwich
[ ] Drop bags of clothes in charity bin
[X] Paint nails
[X] Check-in frequently with DS (he starts college this week)
[X] Book club reading for next weekend
[ ] Start puzzle
[ ] Make vet appt for Tank

January and February are the two quietest and slowest months for me in the year. It's a great time for me to stop and reflect and learn and restart. This new job showed me that August through December I have little room for rest and reflection on those important people in my life. Those times are when and where my list making happens.

@MrsSoup you must have really enjoyed the extra time that you had at home this week. I am sorry that the weather was so bad but what a lovely bonus to be at home and getting things done.

It was a productive week for me. I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner but all of my goals towards my word of the year have been put into a spreadsheet. I usually write it out on paper and then organize it in a word document. However, it gets to be a bit "clunky" when I want to see things "at a glance." Using spreadsheets has worked wonderfully for me with my Christmas organization. I'm hoping that adding pages to the spreadsheet and renaming them will help me stay a bit more organized with a central location of everything "at a glance."

Mary, it's mind blowing when a solution presents itself. Why did we not think of this before?
My paper planner has a whole section of my 'ramblings' as I call them. I too like to see things at a glance and see where I am up to with plans etc. I am no good at excel.
