OMGosh! I loved the candy party, because DD is thinking of having something like this for DGS's b/d in October. I think she was thinking of a movie party with a candy buffet! This is so cute. Lots of great ideas. TFS, Lucie! Merci!

We did this for our wedding...we left bags for our out of town guests at the hotel which included bottles of water and "local" snacks like soft pretzels, Herr's potato chips, Goldenberg chews and TastyKakes. People seemed to really appreciate it.

This would also make a nice gift for someone who has moved away or gone to college/military and can't get their local favorites anymore. I remember, as a kid, my aunt in California would beg anyone visiting from the east coast to bring her Entenmann's crumb cake on the plane! Lots of cities have websites featuring local foods...Such as "Taste of Philadelphia" seen here:

We used the site just to get ideas. HTH!
