May 6th is Teacher Appreciation Day. Wouldn't it be nice to get the kids to print this love certificate from Dollar Tree to give to their favorite teacher(s).

Our school celebrates the whole week. Classes divide up and bring in a little gift based on the theme of the day for their teachers each day of the week - treats/snacks, spa/relaxation, memories (usually a scrapbook-like page created by each student put into a booklet), indoor & outdoor recess items. Parents volunteer to bring in dishes for a potluck lunch for the staff on May 6th.
It's important to let them know how important they are to their students and the parents - goodness, they often spend more time with our children than we as parents do!

I got a call last night from one of the other moms...asking me to bring a snack for "Teacher Appreciation Week" at the little boys' school. I guess I'm the only one who didn't know about it before!!
