What's Cooking? Monday, April 12th

Tonight we're going to have bbq'd pork chops with Twice Baked Potatoes and steamed corn. I think the potato recipe is on my blog if anyone is interested.

Probably homemade pizza or some type of chicken.

Beef stew with veggies & potatoes. I cooked it last night... just needs reheating and make some gravy.

DH put beans on to soak last night and this a.m. he added the stuff for ham and beans. So will just make the cornbread when I get home.

I have a couple of questions for you experienced folk.

1. I would love some advice for how to make cornbread. My brother asked me to make it before and we had no luck, used a random recipe, but obviously you guys would know better! And a cheeky side question to that what should I make with it.

2. Luludou or anyone else...how do you go about cooking your veg and successfully re-heating it?

What kind of meat do you use in your green chile?

I just have everything in the same pot.... meat, veggies & potatoes and I reheat the whole thing. I did cook it a little less yesterday so it doesn't get soggy.
