I know that my company is not the only around that does this, it's a kind of Christmas Version of "you've been Booed!
Anyways, my friend and I started it last year, and plan to start it again this year with a twist.....
In addition to the primary gift (ie a poinsetta, or chocolates or whatever) the elf is going to leave a second gift too, (a can of soup or a box of spaghetti) with directions to put it in the collection box in the lobby for the local food pantry.
The instructions will read for the recipient to elf someone else with both a gift for them and a gift for those in need.
