Happy New Year & WELCOME to the 2008 UFO Challenge!!
Our goal is to rid ourselves of all those pesky projects that we never seem to finish or put aside for "one day". So gather up all your UFO's (UnFinished Object), WIP's (Work In Progress), PIGS (Project In Grocery Sack/bag) and WTBS's (Waiting To Be Started) and let's get going!!
Our official start date is January 9th.
You can start listing your initial list now both here AND in your notebook(s). Please keep track of your hours because the winner will be based on the TOTAL NUMBER OF HOURS (we are on the honor system here).
You are welcome to post as much as you want but the regular check ins will be every week and we will be taking the time to tally our hours every month (to keep on track), update & revise our lists during the year to include any projects not finished for the various holidays/seasons.
Our end date is September 30th so that we will have time to prepare for the upcoming holidays.
PRIZE: Our "prize" will be each person making a donation to the winners charity of choice.

Happy Crafting!
Tina

( ) Palm tree afghan for SIL. (hope to finish and give to her within the next 2 weeks)
( ) soft books for nephew.
( ) Cross stitch "Sewing Room"

Hello everyone!

I hope to be a little more organized this year so I can participate on the boards more. Here is my list of projects--though there may be more after I clean out my craft space. I need to do a better job of keeping my craft space organized when I'm working or have purchased something- my table is covered ! LOL

UFO's: in various stages of completion

1) 2005 Make a Wish trip scrapbooks

2) recipe scrapbook for gift

3) knit dishcloth ( I'm having lots of trouble knitting with needles and have had more success with round looms--also having trouble with the tension using cotton yarn)

4) knit hat

5) latch hook pillow

6) pillowcases ( cut and pinned but need to be sewn)

7) Christmas cross stitch

Future Projects: most supplies purchased, but need to be organized to start working on them

1) fleece blankets for Riley Hospital for Children ( want these done by mid Feb when my kids return for appointments)

2) 2007 trip scrapbook

3) theme scrapbooks: Christmas, birthday, fall, school

OK after a few hours cleaning out the craft closet I made my list. It was much longer but this morning I frogged or got rid of any projects I knew I would not finish. I'm sure I will find more to add but for now I have a realistic list to finish.

UFO'S
Afghan for DS
Pooh cross stitch

WIP'S
crochet bath mit
Cross stitch ornament

I also found alot of materials for projects that never got started. I hope this year to get to some of them also.

Hello all!

Welcome :welcome: to our 1st week of the UFO Challenge!!! I got a late start today because I forgot about an appointment my DS1 had this morning.

Don't worry if you don't have a complete list since we will be adding & editing as we go along here. Don't forget to keep track of your hours as best as you can.

Let's start off with something relatively easy this week. Pick the easiest item on your list & get it done!!! I am starting off with the draft dodger for the front door & at least 2 rice bags. I am also hoping to get some of the plastic bags I have cut down into "yarn" for my outdoor snowflakes & stuff along those lines.

One thing I would love to finish is my high school scrapbook. I have the issue that I started it about 8 years ago, and styles have changed... quite a bit. :) So I am going to have to finish it without poking my eyes out at my ugly pages from 8 years ago! :haha:
