The Lowe’s in Geneva NY had the most wonderful Halloween display! I spoke with the man responsible for that part of the store and asked if anyone purchased the 6’+ menacing scarecrow and he said the he had ordered 5 and that was the last one left; he was also trying to get more from neighboring stores!

Bought a small skeleton - Wendy - to keep last year’s Wally company!

There is quite a lot out here in the shops. Halloween has certainly become a thing over the past 5 years or so. DH and I do not participate but I did buy a lovely pumpkin scented candle last week. I will pop it on my entrance table.

I will be helping with a Trunk or Treat event at the end of October. My task is to find 10-12 people who would like to patriciate. Hard to do since the date is not yet confirmed. I'll just keep asking and get back to them with the exact details.

I thought I was going to be away for Halloween, but it turns out, I'll be back by then. I was a week off on my trip and only realized when I got a reminder from my airline. Guess I'll have to get some treats for the kids in the neighborhood. Some years I have 50, other years 2-3 (or maybe none).

We get 300 to 400 kids at Halloween in our neighborhood. Not that we have that many living here but it’s one of the nicer older neighborhood that the houses are close to the street. People drop their kids off but a lot walk with their kids too. I would say 1/4 of the adults also dress up. A lot of people do some sort of Halloween decorations. A few houses go all out fill their yard too.
