Another crafting week under way.

Today I have to sew the 12 4 patch squares together and also iron on the items to be appliqued onto the 13 white squares. I purchased different material on Fri. for the class after I saw the finished picture of the item. Was told at the fabric store that others did too.

Last night Allen cut the squares :) while I traced and cut out the items for the appliques.
I am thinking this week she will have us finish appliquing the blocks and maybe sew them all together if we don't get that done in the 3 hour class. Only 1 class left after tom. night so that should be putting the binding on, the back and finishing it. Will see.

Trying to decide for sure which ornament I am doing for the swap here.

What are your plans?

I did no knitting at all last week. :( This week is crazy busy so I think i'll just make my goal choosing an ornament for the swap.

I am hoping to get the rib finished on the back of DD's jumper, and onto the main back. I will bring that with me for the weekend too (hopefully only will need to bring one pair of needles).

I have also organised a ziploc with the hatband stuff to make 2 cross-stitch pictures, the embroidery threads and the patterns, to bring with me as well. I need to get needles though, as all my cross-stitch needles have disappeared (I need larger eyes for the 3-thread yarn, but not huge wide needles like the ones for sewing together knitting).

I want to do a few rows of the lap blanket, as that is a bit big to bring away (although, that might be a useful one to work on in the car as we drive, hmm, need to see how full the car will be).

The only other thing I might get to is to finish making a red candle and make another few (I have the wax to make a green, a blue and a white one) - while DH is away as I need to do that in the kitchen.

Winged One sounds like you have a get away crafting wk-end planned. Sounds relaxing.

Trisha, what will the yarn be used for.

Jessica, that is a job in itself trying to decide. I always go back and forth deciding for swaps.

All my squares are ready to go. Will try to post a picture here shortly of what we are doing. Trying to do. (On blog)

I gave my daughter her card this am, so I'm finally able to share it and my DH's card on my blog. My husbands card is nice, but I LOVE my daughters owl card. Check it out!

I am hoping to get started on Carson's quilt this week... I have most of the cutting done, I just have to piece and quilt it! It's a simple checkerboard pattern with a solid and a print minky fabric... so soft!

sounds like a lot of quiliting and crafting this week. i am going to finish that last dishcloth I have not picked up in a week this week. Then I need to find something for the ornament swap. So many options.

Jampss - I am always awed and exhausted by your list and what you accomplish from it each week!

Last week I almost finished the third baby blanket. DH would have had a fit if I took more knitting (than I already had stuffed in my knitting bag) to FL, so I left that home. On the trip down I finished one wristlet and started its mate. I also did about 6" on a scarf but ripped it out when I realized that there was no way I would have enough yarn to make what I wanted to (sigh).

On Thursday I have a knitting class at my local yarn store here in Tampa. It's for toe down socks - these made with DK yarn which I will have to buy. So that will be yet another project that will be started this week.

Fluttering happily in the clouds!!
I found out that there will be a new baby in our office next September (one of my staff told me quietly yesterday, she won't announce it publicly for a few weeks yet), so I think I'd better add a few baby things to my list for the year!

Wow!!! Everybody is really crafting away!!! LOVE IT!!! If we only had more time for it.

Went to class last night and by the time I found the stitch I wanted to use and tried it only got 2 done but think I will re do. I was going to applique in all black but I think by using the red, green and brown on the colors it would show less errors if not right on. Will think on that. The black makes it pop and with practice I will get it. For this week we can finish the appliquing and have it sat together and she will show us how to bind it and hopefully the quitling. That is why I take these beginning quilting classes to get to see that but they have never shown that part. I do like this teacher.

So my crafting this week will be working on it. Picture on the blog of it in progress.
