My Copy of My Ongoing List!

I'm enjoying some quiet time and doing some crocheting. Usually during DS7's computer time or PBS time!!

I finished my own wristers and started a mitten for DS's friend. Think I'll do that other Old Christmas Card Basket, too.

Everyone has fun things there are doing. It's fun to read about it all!

Jampss, love the colors you used!!! I crochet alittle but don't know if I could do them or not.

Candysprinkles, nice list. Hats and slippers crocheted or knitted? Or sewn?

The slippers socks will be knitted.

The hats, I don't even have a pattern for yet...so who knows. What I want to make is a Christmas Tree hat, a Frosty, A Rudolph, An Elf's Hat and maybe a gift/present hat or unusually colored (rainbow?) santa hat. I need five fun holiday hats, one for each of us. I really like the Christmas Tree hats I saw at a festival on HGTV but I still have to figure out how I'm going to make them.

I did about 12 inches on the shawl during the game tonight. I'd say its 1/3 done; about the length of a sleeve.

Thanks! I tried to pick patterns that say "Easy". I'm certainly not a great crochet-er!

That was a good time to work! I did too. Crocheted on mittens during the game. Stopped to watch commercials ... but they weren't too great this year.

I mailed out my first two baby blankets today to BFF in England - her oldest daughter had twin boys in October. I'll post a photo of one of the blankets on my blog.

I'm working on the third one now. It's worked in a diagonal and it's almost time to start decreasing. I also started a scarf for myself.

This week I am going to make myself work on DD's scarf. I also want to look through the quilt pieces my mom gave me of my great-grandma's and see if I can continue to create the same thing. She also gave me quilt pieces that she made of my old jeans and clothes from when I was little.

Stitch

Debbie, nice blanket. Like the stitch.

Yes, I liked the stitch, too. It reminded me of a wash cloth I made. It looks like your blanket, but much smaller!

I don't knit, but a few years ago, a friend was teaching my DD and I to knit this one thing ... a wash cloth/dish rag and it made it's own border like that. I still have those directions around here somewhere! LOL

Fluttering happily in the clouds!!
I properly started DD's jumper today - cast on the stitches for the larger size. I WILL make progress on this so that she can wear it in the correct season (it's sleeveless so useful for later in spring).

I think I will try to concentrate on that this week. The only other thing I want urgently to do is to BUY the stuffing for DD's owl cushion/toy, and then actually stuff and finish it. But that means I need to get to a decent fabrics shop, which may not be this week.
