The ornaments are outstanding. I especially like the family photos.I love warm fuzzy socks and Axl is going to love his mat.
Ornaments are done except for the hangers. Will do those tomorrow and wrap them up.
Lori, I never end up with the same amount of stitches. Sometimes I end up with too many lol. My grandma was excellent at crocheting. She made fine lace table cloths, I didn’t get that gene. She was able to crochet even after she lost her sight. Sounds like you figured out the perfect save for that scarf. Nobody needs to know you list a few stitches.Crochet fail ... but salvageable, I think. So, at yesterday's class, I was so close to finishing the scarf I've been working on off and on since Thanksgiving. It's for me, so nothing too extravagant, primarily back-loop double crochet. I'm down to the last 2 rows and notice something's not right. Rip out 3 rows, correct error and continue on. The instructor comments that my stitching has tightened up a lot since I started (I agree!), and in the last few minutes of class, I decide to count my stitches, since it seems a lot shorter than I'd expected. Started with chain 80, my next to last row, I count 43 stitches. I think I'll add a button and use it as a kind of neck warmer inside my jacket and call it good. Maybe I'll try another one over the summer and see if I can figure out where I went wrong.
Excellent idea! Need to grab a packet of the small safety pin-type markers.Yeah, I have been there done that @Lori K . Sorry. I know it's a bummer, but I think your idea will be good! I keep stitch markers as I go along so I can keep the count correct. When I turn my work, I start counting again, like every 10 or 20 stitches and put a marker.
