Welcome to another crafting week and also a new month~~mid way thru this week!!!

We have 210 days or about 6 1/2 months until Christmas.

My craft room table is getting more and more visible. So it is coming along but slow.

Found some patterns I had pulled for projects to do. Maybe I will get to them.

Will carry my list over to keep me going.

What is everybody else doing?

For 2011 I would really like to make alot of the gifts again. I just love to make and give homemade items to people, whether it is food related (mixes, or already made), holiday items or something they can use year round.

I have a mental list started so will list some.

1.) Thread catcher for mom, Miranda, Jaymee and myself (maybe my friend in Iowa)

2.) Snowman pillow Miranda ~~~~~~~~ DONE 1-16 SEWED CLOSURE SEWN 1-17

3.) Bubble Light for my friends in Iowa and mail it to them before Thanksgiving

4.) Coasters--sets of 6 decide who

6.) Have the pattern for the table runner so will decide who I would like to do one for

7.) Need to think of the item I would like to do for the 12 Days of Christmas so if they have it again

8.) Need to get some vanilla beans to start more vanilla for next year

9.) See if Jaymee likes that material for a tree skirt or not for her tree

10.) See if Ryan and Jaymee want me to do them a stocking for their house or get their own ( I think his aunt got them stocking kits to decorate them one~maybe)

11.) Quilted Scarf make one for myself and decide on if any for gifts

12.) Scrunchies for my 2 nieces and a step great niece

13.) Think of the ornament that I will make for co-workers

14.) Think of the ornament I will do for the CIJ Swap here~~~~~~~~~~In process 5-8-11

15.) Will give canned goods and jams (I hope if garden does well so need to think of packaging ideals)

More ideals will come~~but these are ones I am thinking now.

Some added:

I have gotten a barbie doll pattern for clothes and just this week ordered a pattern for furniture off of e-bay for barbies. Hoping for my nieces and step great niece.

Would like to do the necklaces from the washers and from crystal pendant and then make some beaded bracelets. For my sister.

Last year did the tic tac toe game from fabric so might try a checker game that I ran across.

Hi all,

This week I am finishing up D-Sis's scarf for christmas and hope to finish D-Brother's baby afghan for his soon to be little one.

Also my mom found cro-tatted snowflake patterns in a library book I had checked out and she wants some of those so will be trying to teach myself how to cro-tat.

IF I have time left after those items then I need to work on D-Sis's (the one in Italy) afghan.

Adding in a Crocheted shawl. I'm testing the pattern for a lady over on Ravelry. My mom saw the pattern on my laptop and fell in love with it so I let her pick the yarn and will give it to her when it's done. She chose Red Heart's TLC Baby yarn in Giggle Print (pastel blue, pink, purple, green, and white).

I still want to get my bag holder made

I have Makaylas birthday party stuff to get working on
Banner for Makayla's birthday
Banner for boys graduation party
Figure out what I have to make the girls(Makayla and Jade) for lip sync they need to find a song since they were told no for the song they wanted todo since there is not a clean version out there. They want lace skirts so I know that for sure
Do something with the lamps for my bedroom they were my grandmothers and not what I want

Ohh Jampss, I was looking through your post with the christmas crafts and have fallen in love with the half eaten Gingerbread man!

My babysis (well not baby anymore as she's 31 now) and boys will love to have some of them for Christmas this year. Saved the link and will be getting the items next month to make them for them :)

Also forgot that I need to make some crochted pokemon, mario bro's, and Sonic characters for my 3 youngest nephews and a dispicable minion for my DS before Christmas.

ACK, I had better get busy fast lol. I did finish the scarf this weekend and started on the Shawl I'm testing (will be for my mom as she's already claimed it before I've even had a chance to start crocheting it), it should be done Friday if all goes right, then I can start on the baby afghan.

I have lacked time to post since the holidays but I have been following the forum and busily working.

Since the new year began my stitching has been mostly for missionary friends. The most time consuming project was for a friend who discovered at Christmas time that some children's pageant costumes were lacking for her missionary school and little church ministry. This was my first venture into
costuming but all the hurdles finally were overcome. The items are completed now and I am waiting for her to come stateside for a brief summer break to pass them along to her.

As time allowed a number of items were made for the baby group I sew for. Also I have made a small dent in my Christmas gift crafting/sewing list.

for missionary friends for their ministries:
4 Costumes...one shepherd and three Magi with puffy style crowns
20 small fabric totes
10 large fabric totes
baby receiving blanket

baby charity:
9 fabric baby booties
7 little bereavement blankets
set of 16 redwork embroidery quilt squares
2 bibs

family Christmas:
2 sets of coasters in plastic canvas

Thank you, ladies, for the encouragement about my progress in recent months. I really was feeling unproductive with so much time consumed by the costumes. Until I composed my list to share, the real scope of accomplishment was unseen. Hand sewing really made a difference in finishing projects. I look forward to resuming my long term goal list now.

This has been a very short working week so although items were begun none are completed yet. Next week will be quite different though.

All of you are certainly being successful with your crafting as well. Slow and steady gets it done. Keep up the good work.

I am, I go by angeldreams there. I'm checking out the Bundle of Joy group, the charity group I'm in on there is Share a Square and we are doing crocheted afghans for children with cancer or siblings of those with cancer then the finished afghans are taken to 3 of the Summer camps for the children.

Finished the shawl last night and will give it to my mom this weekend when I see her.

Its Saturday already what did I get done nothing at all as usual. But maybe today I can at least get the lamps done.

I did get up to Walmart last night to get elastic I needed for the girls lace skirts which I think that I am going to dye black. I am making them out of old lace valances and curtains, they are ivory right now and I think that I have white ones also will have to check with the girls today and see what they think.

Also picked up black felt for the microphones, no grey that I wanted but I may have some or I know I have a roll of white felt up in the closet. Just gotta figure out how to make those. And see what kind of shirts they are wearing and what we have todo with those. Also what other props they want I have to make.
