p.a. ~ Nice ornaments. I could see that done with CCS, too.
Lucie ~ The Santa Keys are a cute idea. Thanks for your comment on the room. We’ve had the shutters in that room for eons, but they were a dark brown stain. We just painted them white and put new fabric panels in them. I thought they turned out great. We still need to finish the trim in the room and paint the 4 closet doors. Then I’m going to put a hummingbird wallpaper border on the closet doors.
As for this week’s goals, I've determined that the afghan is long enough, so I've knit 2 of the 5 final edging rows, then will just bind off and sew in the yarn ends. I also found a dropped stitch that I think I can easily attach so it won't ravel and won't show. I'm not sure how it happened that I still had the right number of stitches. I'm ready to make an ornament with the Nutcracker CCS motif. Guess I'll be moving ahead with potholders and/or placemats. And I need to get the house smelling good with cookie baking, too!
